Chris Watts had just strangled his wife, Shanann, and was wrapping her in a sheet to dispose of her body when their daughter Bella walked into the room.

"What are you doing with Mommy?" the 4-year-old asked her father.

The details of that interaction, as well as Bella's last known words before her death in the disturbing familial murders, were revealed by Steven Lambert, the attorney for Shanaan Watts' family, on Tuesday's "Dr. Phil" show

As Watts began to wrap her body up in a sheet, Bella walked in and asked about her mother, Lambert said.

"She's 4, what we've been told she's quite smart -- was quite smart -- and knew something likely was up. And what he said was that, 'Mommy is sick, we need to take her to the hospital to make her better,'" Lambert said.

Lambert said his understanding is that Chris Watts put Shanann's body in his truck and then put his children, who were still alive at the time, into the truck. He took Celeste's favorite blanket and smothered her, Lambert said.

"At this point, Bella had unbuckled herself from the vehicle. He went back to the vehicle and at that point Bella said, 'Please Daddy, don't do to me what you just did to Cece,'" Lambert said.

 

Whatever 'happens' to him, I hope it takes a long, long time.

weird thing about this case is that the whole thing kinda played out on camera. everything was released...news interview with him, bodycam from the initial day with cops, even confession.
