He's dumb on a lot of levels.  I'm a lapsed Catholic but I respect people who sacrifice during Lent.  Most major religions have some fasting period which has been shown to be beneficial to our long-term health.  But, geniuses like edjr have solved the world's metaphysical questions, so we are lucky to have them around.

No possible answer to this question could help either side of the debate. I can tell you it didn’t come to exist by Jesus riding in on a dinosaur and sprinkling fairy dust everywhere though. The existence of something as vast and infinite as the universe is too mind boggling to comprehend.

Luckily for us, others don't think so and are studying it.  Is the universe "infinite" or is there an end?  How can something be infinite?  Was there a start to time, or did the universe always exist?

Also you get stuck in your snarky attitude towards Jesus and religions which humans worship.  I'm talking about a creator, or creators.  It's a fascinating topic if one dares to explore it.  But hey, you've got it figured out.

That’s where the real mind screw happens. It’s a low chance but the universe has existed for an infinite amount of time so in infinity, the chances of something low chance go up in a way. It’s truly head explodingly crazy. Can’t say the universe started at a certain time, cuz what was before that? Whiteness? Blackness? That’s still universe. Can’t say it ends cuz what’s beyond that “wall”? Infinity ago and infinity in the future is just insane. Impossible to even fathom. I remember this thread and my posts in it.  Since then I've learned more about Einstein's special theory of relativity; how time and distance are relative to speed (his general theory is more complex and I haven't gotten into that yet).  Anyway, adds a whole 'nother variable to the creation mystery.
