IGotWorms 4,060 Posted December 10, 2024 Finally watched Maxxxine last night. Not as good as Pearl or X. But not bad. Basically you watch this one because you want to fock Mia Goth. Which I do. Also Kevin Bacon was pretty amusing.

I should've re-watched Terrifier 2 beforehand though. I didn't remember too many details and it builds off the events in that movie. Just watched Terrifier 3 today…. I forgot this nugget of yours before watching it…. Oh well, still an enjoyable movie… Poor Cole…

Ironic thing about Cuckoo is that the ENTIRE premise of the movie became obsolete once I learned later that the main character isn't actually a woman. MDC 7,719 Posted July 6 Watched this on Shudder last night/ AMC last night: Not really horror but easily one of the most uncomfortable movies I’ve ever seen. Felt like I needed a shower afterward. Go in totally blind if you watch it.

Strike 5,900 Posted August 31 Did a search and didn't see if mentioned in this thread but watched "Oldboy", an old Korean horror/revenge/action flick tonight. There was an American remake which apparently is crap so don't watch it but man this Korean one is something else. It would never get made in America in this form due to some of it's story line, which may be why the American version is crap, and I can't speak for everyone's sensibilities, but this is one of those movies that you walk away from and it affects you. I'm not saying that's good or bad but I can't imagine anyone walking away from this movie and not being affected in some way. I really enjoyed it but will warn that some of the content may be a bit controversial.

Really looking forward to the Conjuring Finale this weekend! It's one of my favorite franchises. Saw The Conjuring: Last Rites this weekend. Pretty good! Long horror movie at 2:15. But lots of jump scares, and some kind of gory scenes, gorier than the previous movies in the franchise from what I can recall. Overall good addition/conclusion to the movies.
TheNewGirl 1,601 Posted September 25 Okay! The season is almost upon us! Sorry if this was discussed in this thread already; but what are your staples that you have to watch every year? Creepshow 1 and 2 Halloween movies Some of the old school Stephen King; Christine, Cujo, etc. Conjuring universe Insidious universe I know there are more but those are the ones that come to mind right away. I don't have any particular ones that I watch every year, I usually just try to watch the recently released horror movies... If there is a flick that people here seem to really back, I will try to check it out...

I like horror movies but loathe wasting my time watching something crappy. Anything newish that multiple people say is good enough, ill try this time of year. I watched The Monkey with my GF and her gay cousin a few weeks ago. I thought it was fun enough even if not that great. I really liked late night with the devil. We also watched that last year. I thought that was well done. We are into sorta weird or older horror movies. Anything newer and promoted seems to be a let down. A well done horror movie is nice, but a lot of crap out there. Dont go to the movies much anymore. But I was always notorious for being a tough critic and not afraid to say that sucked.
