Cruzer 1,992 Posted January 12, 2020 I swear - if a Steelers' assistant trainer showed up on a HOF ballot, they'd get in.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted January 12, 2020 I think it's a weak entry. Got a stacked team, got one ring, and bolted. Good coach. Hof? Nah.
Voltaire 4,559 Posted January 12, 2020 The only person I have ever met with a jaw like that is my (now deceased) father in law. Seriously, an old Chinese dude, the first time I looked at my FiL, he had me thinking about Bill Cowher.
edjr 5,564 Posted January 12, 2020 more proof each leagues HOF is not a hall of fame at all, but a hall of good

JustinCharge 2,397 Posted January 12, 2020 He retired at age 49 most likely because he kept losing to Belichick and knew he'd never get past him to more super bowls. This is probably why he entertained returning to coach the Panthers since that's an NFC team and Belichick couldn't block his path. The league is poorer for him hanging it up so early in his life. It would have been fun seeing him compete the past 15 years. Very sketchy that he makes the hall of fame. 1 super bowl ring (that was won during a Patriots down year), forgettable 15ish year career as a TV analyst. Easy decision. Who else will make it from this Era? Dungy is a lock, although might not if he were white. Belicheck is a lock. Reid needs a ring before its even a consideration IMHO. Cruzer 1,992 Posted January 13, 2020 Anyone who can win 2 SBs, with Eli - deserves to be 1st ballot! I kid... TC is totally deserving - way more than Cowher.
cyclone24 1,814 Posted January 13, 2020 My steelers buddy's response was he averaged 10 wins a year with that ring. Still seems like a low bar.
Kanil 519 Posted January 13, 2020 Cowher got the call because it's the hall of FAME, not the hall of BEST. He's famous so he gets in.
