Cannot tell you how many times this one has tripped me up.  Just yesterday I was texting with my mom and the topic of syzygies came up again.  Thank god for autocorrect.

But yeah, I was trying to keep it plural so poasty wouldn't ask "R's what?" 

And yeah, I think it is okay to use an apostrophe to pluralize when it makes it more readable, but still.

Adding an 's makes it possessive, not plural.

Right, but I think it's allowable when using just an "s" could be confusing, like they've done here.
