Man dies after encounter with Minneapolis Police

Cops are murdering black men right in the streets. Buildings are burning and this is what the state police deem to be important. Arresting a camera crew with a black reporter.

OMG

It takes a hell of a lot for me to take CNN's side in anything. They start is such a deep hole because I basically loathe the network and don't respect them, but here we are. Go CNN. You are in the right.

There's just a litany of stupidity piled on top of incompetence from law enforcement in Minneapolis right now which my thin-blue-line mind cannot fathom.

No sh1t Sherlock. Trump wasted two months lying to the American people. Blaming China will never change that fact. As sad as that makes you. :(

Your favorite US politician, Nancy Pelosi went on the news multiple times to promote and encourage people into going to Chinatown's restaurants and bars and other establishments at the end of February. The next guy you are going to vote for, Biden, was calling Trump a xenophobe and a fear mongerer at the end of January for wanting a travel ban.

Your liberal buddies in this country that are mindlessly following them over Trump said, "I am liberal and I mindlessly obey my liberal authoritarian leaders".

Let's make sure that there is actually a murder first. Guy could have had an aneurysm or heart attack or something else.

We live in such an ADHD world that everything needs to be determined NOW. The cop is not a risk to others. The only risk is the thugs who are looking for any excuse they can find to steal stuff and burn their own community to the ground.

Um... granted I'm not a doctor and neither was George Floyd but while he was self diagnosing himself as being unable to breathe, it was consistent with my observation of a large obstruction blocking his pulmonary system from functioning properly.

But Trump hoarded all the intel.  How could Nancy make an informed decision?

I'm no doctor either but in order for me to say anything, I have to have air in my lungs. And for me to repeatedly say things, I have to be able to replenish the air in my lungs. That's called breathing, right?

Glad I got my thoughts in this thread before Newbie went full retard.

Question to Newbie: wouldn’t you rather then wait to make sure they charge these guys right than just arrest them to make a point?  Obviously, sure looks like the cop killed this poor guy.  However, I think it would be very difficult to convict on Murder 1 here.  I believe (and could be wrong) that you need to have premeditation for murder 1.

Personally, I would rather the authorities take a couple of days to examine everything and charge these guys with something that maybe they can convict, like Murder 2 or even Manslaughter.

If they go the easy route and charge these guys with Murder 1 and they aren’t convicted, that whole city will burn.

I think Murder 1 is in the realm of possibility because it looks like he was intending to kill him as he knelt there without concern. That's what I would press for. For sure this is murder 2.

Sort of, but not really, no. This knee-to-neck tactic is a known law enforcement process used to subdue a suspect and this is the exact thing, having just enough air to complaining about breathing, is what happens. It takes the fight out of suspects. They are also taught this process can kill and does and not to hold the position for long. There's no doubt the regulations weren't followed.

Yep. Only Trump knew what was going on. Nancy and Biden were unaware so they were encouraging that reckless behavior based upon.....Oh, could it be Trump's early reaction to a virus by calling a travel ban? I wonder why Pelosi and Biden took the complete opposite approach as Trump? Hmmm... 🤔

Everyone agrees (finally), justice is being served, we should be celebrating not rioting.  This should be a moment in history where whites and blacks come together.....because that's what was building.....until the nonsense started.

Third bump with no logical response.

What are we protesting exactly?  The overwhelming majority of people  (of all colors, religion and creeds) agree that this ex-cop should be arrested and charged.  That has happened.  Justice is being served.  Why are we burning our own neighborhoods down?

You must have missed the post earlier, coroner stated Floyd did not suffer traumatic asphyxiation or suffocation.

Likely the guy had his knee in a position to restrain but not choke to death, which makes sense if you look at the position of his other leg and the fact it took 5+ minutes for Floyd to die. If he was being suffocated with the knee he'd be dead in 2 minutes. (Also, when someone dies from suffocation they shake violently, Floyd did not appear to shake at all)

I'd love for them to breach the fence. SS aren't a bunch of poosays like MPD. The snipers on the roof would blow their heads off in a minute.

Most likely the WH "protesters" are professionals and would not cross that line because they are doing this for money not beliefs. Unfortunately.

Nice to see NYPD and Brooklyn PD cracking some skulls though.

After 3 months of no sports this is pretty entertaining.

Fox is like Redzone now.

- Minneapolis

- Atlanta

- White House

- Dallas

- Phoenix

- Los Angeles

- Bakersfield

Minny is a blowout, law enforcement and fire department threw in the towel

Phoenix is still trying to get a first down

Atlanta is controlling the ball well after some early mishaps

NY is dominating with their bruising ground game

DC is still a tossup, rooftop snipers are getting itchy fingers as the ground protesters keep gaining yards

As much as the left loves a good race war this has literally blown up in their face.

COVID-19 stay at home orders, social distancing, masks, respect for hospitals, respect for elderly, no mass gatherings.... All irrelevant.

And while these riots appeal to a small percentage of blacks and guilty whites, most of America is appalled by the violence and lack of respect for fellow citizens.

They have turned their cities across America into war zones.
