Mark Davis 169 Posted August 16, 2020 We have done two meets with some of the wife's sorority sisters and their husbands. Big common area, some activities outdoors etc. Also been playing in a 5-6 man poker game. We've probably played five times or so in the past two months. One guy had a coworker who tested positive so he sat out a couple weeks.
NorthernVike 2,080 Posted August 17, 2020 I threw a bar b q day before the 4th of July with around 60 people. I go to the local bar almost nightly and we usually have between 10 and 15 people around the camp fire each night on the weekends. As of yet, no one has died. edjr 5,567 Posted August 17, 2020 I've been to many, 10+,, anywhere from 7 to 25 people. Only once was it inside. We did karaoke in a house with 12 people. Was a going away party for my BIL's Coast Guard buddy. My son's bday is tomorrow at the beach, we have a motel room on the beach, will be 25 people probably, party is all outside, the room is for pissing and keeping stuff. No masks, not a one. it's all family mostly.

porkbutt 861 Posted August 17, 2020 horrible to say and god forbid no one gets the corona aids....but as of right now...i kinda like some aspects.. thankfully my job/work was not impacted really. in fact covid was a built-in excuse that made things easier. job not on time...covid! no weekend bs...no crappy parties, gatherings, boring graduations, games, stupid events to get in the way of what i really wanna do...fish and play on boat. less picking kids up, less idiots on the road for a while there. i hate crowds anyway. i do miss going inside small bars for food and drink. eating outdoors sucks most of the time. just like sitting at uncrowded bar. wiffleball 4,642 Posted August 18, 2020 Does a bar qualify? Have to say, our town doesn't really give a s***. I mean we all sort of kind of follow the rules technically. But that's about as far as it goes. The only reason we do is to keep the staff from getting fired or fined or both. Give you an example of how stupid these rules are. For the 7 ft that you walk into a bar or restaurant and sit down, you have to wear a mask. But then you can take it off. However, when you are Elbow to elbow with people 9 deep outside on the sidewalk waiting to come in? Nobody's wearing a mask. Because we all know covid doesn't work outside. And somebody still has to explain to me why the f*** the governor thinks covud is only dangerous after 10 p.m. in bars. What is it, herpes?
