Djgb13 2,338 Posted September 12, 2020 So this will be Trevor Lawrence’s last season as he graduates in December. What teams we thinking are going to try to snag him? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/clemson-qb-trevor-lawrence-says-he-plans-on-2020-being-his-last-year-before-leaving-for-nfl-draft/amp/

JustinCharge 2,397 Posted September 12, 2020 The Chargers already got smacked around by injuries with Derwin James lost for the season. They looked pretty bad without him last year. Their OL is an injured mess of questionable to poor talent and they don't have a QB. Also lost Melvin Gordon. This team might not score any points at all and the defense could be pretty leaky. If they get some bad luck, they could be sitting atop the NFL draft and staring at Trevor Lawrence. The pass rush was supposed to be feared entering last season and it fell off a cliff. With all the subtractions and injuries, there really is nothing to like about this team. Can't pass, can't run, can't protect the QB, can't rush the passer. Life comes at you fast. Been a hard and swift fall for this club. They enter week 1 with Derwin James lost for the second consecutive season and most of the starting OL injured ALREADY. Hardcore troubadour 12,643 Posted September 12, 2020 If the Giants suck again (likely) then Gettlemans out and the next guy will have no allegiance to Daniel Jones. The Giants are in play, and should be considered a front runner.

To get the #1 pick usually requires some combo of lack of talent, tons of injuries, lots of bad luck. Chargers can do it. They are already on their way. JustinCharge 2,397 Posted September 12, 2020 https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/chargers-injuries-continue-to-pile-up-as-center-mike-pouncey-will-miss-week-1-vs-bengals/ The season is mere days away, and as usual, the Chargers are dealing with a spate of injuries. The latest malady has affected center Mike Pouncey, who did not practice this week due to a hip injury and will sit out Sunday's season-opener against the Joe Burrow-led Bengals, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. With Pouncey out, one of Dan Feeney or Forrest Lamp should probably be expected to slide over to center. Pouncey's absence compounds the offensive line issues for the Chargers, who remade the right side of the line in the offseason by signing Bryan Bulaga and trading for Trai Turner, but will start Sam Tevi on Tyrod Taylor's blind side. Of course, Pouncey is not the only Charger who will miss this game. Star safety Derwin James will sit out as well after going on injured reserve in the wake of a knee injury sustained during preseason practice. James is set to miss six-to-eight months after appearing in only five games last season. In addition, both Bulaga and Mike Williams put in only limited practices at times this week. Williams injured his shoulder during training camp and was limited on both Wednesday and Thursday, while Bulaga popped up on the Thursday injury report with a hamstring issue. Patented Phil 823 Posted September 12, 2020 I’m a huge Trevor fan - been following him since high school. Not a slam dunk that he is going to be #1. Justin Fields could be right there with him if he has a big year.

The Jets last had it in 1996 (WR Keshawn Johnson). The Jaguars have never had the #1 overall. The Giants last had it in 1965 (RB Tucker Frederickson) (I thought it said Turd Ferguson for a moment).
