Mayfield is starting from square one this year.  He's being treated like a rookie as his mind is probably scrambled eggs from 4 heads coaches in 3 years.   Not asking him to throw much, keep it simple.  Can't really grade him until he settles into this offense.  Plus he played with bad ribs this week against the Steelers.  Its hard to discount Mayfield when he became the NFL's all time leader in rookie TD passes in less than 1 season of play.  People just don't do that.

Hard to judge sam darnold as well. Look at what gase did to tannehill.

I think there is still a chance that darnold can develop under a different coach.

You could say that about every QB ever drafted that didn't make it. I blame the team that drafted them. Obviously they were going to teams that sucked.

I agree on both here.  They’ve both shown the skills necessary to play at a high level.   But their coaches and teammates have made it tough for them.

The Browns are playing better this year.
They’re 4-2, in a pretty tough division.

Also, edjr doesn’t watch or understand sports.

That arrogant d0uche is now on his 3rd team in 3 years.  He's not even on the gameday roster since he's currently on the focking practice squad!  Does he still think 9 teams made a mistake back on Draft day?

Rashaan Evans has been better and was taken 14 picks later.

What makes Evans better than Smith? The fact that he has 69 less solo tackles than Smith has? Or maybe the fact that he has 80 less combined assisted + solo tackles than Smith? Or is it that he has 4.5 less sacks than Smith? Oh wait, maybe it's because he has 9 less tackles for loss than Smith has?

Oh, I know what it is. It's that Evans has 10 less passes defended than Smith.

That must be it.
