Hardcore troubadour 15,513 Posted December 10, 2020 AOC came out and said it will hurt poor people who need baby formula, diapers etc. The proposal exempts all that. Starting to think she can’t be this stupid. As long as it appears she’s fighting for them it works. Even though she’s wrong about the subject. She’s just ingrains her brand on to the idiots at every turn. Marketing.

Rats on the west side, bed bugs, uptown. What a mess, this towns in tatters. I’ve been shattered. My brains been battered. Splattered. All over Manhattan. Go ahead, bite the big Apple. A normal, 3 BR house within 150 miles of the city you’re paying around ten grand with just those taxes. Way more if your house costs. And a Fockin fee for everything. I seem to recall a couple years ago you telling me that Seattle doesn't have a homeless problem because you didn't see anything wrong when you came here on vacation. Perhaps I have the wrong geek? I apologize in advance if I have you confused with somebody else.

Seattle does have a homeless problem as do many places. What do you propose be done about it? Sorry if you don’t like seeing them but that doesn’t mean they just disappear from the face of the earth Oh, so now you do admit that there is a homeless problem since you "definitely know that city better than others"??? You were pretty adamant that there wasn't one just a couple years ago. I recall your same cavalier "I was just there and it's not a problem" statement as the one you made about NYC in this thread. What changed your opinion to make you admit it now?

So, the politics of these more "cultural" cities bleed into the other areas. CA has a LOT of conservative voters, but when you look at the large blue cities (expensive, higher city and county taxes, higher homeless rates, shittting in the streets, tent cities, sanctuary cities) people are leaving in droves to the other areas, or other states. You can have your culture. I mean, what's getting a good meal and watching a play if you step in human feces on the way to your Uber?
