[** Official President Joe Biden Thread **]

More distractions unrelated to the topic and personal insults.^^^^

I'd rather talk about oil because I'm still confused. Since you lap up everything the MSM puts out and don't view yourself an ill-informed moron, maybe you can help me. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe your position is that we can't blame Biden* for high oil prices because the oil companies are greedy. So, my first question is the were the evil dastardly oil companies less greedy when President Trump was in office? Second question is explain to us again how Biden's limitations on domestic fracking Biden Administration: Yes, We Are Following Through With a Fracking Ban (townhall.com)  and simultaneous shutting down of the Keystone Pipeline from Canada Keystone pipeline canceled after Biden revokes key permit (cnbc.com) didn't affect the price of gas this past year. Was it because that domestic and Canadian oil would be offset by the Russian oil flowing through the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia into Europe that President Trump halted but Biden* green-lit? Nord Steam 2 Saga Ends As Biden Waives Sanctions (forbes.com)

As for my position, on question one, I believe that the dastardly, evil oil companies are as just as greedy now as they always have been, be they Biden*, or President Trump, or every other president dating back to Ulysses S. Grant (when Rockefeller established Standard Oil). On question two, I also think that Biden's* hostility to domestic and Canadian oil was directly responsible for the hike in US gas prices, not any sanctions (that have not even been implemented since the war that started eleven days ago) .

Anyway, since you're allegedly not as dumb as most stubborn turds sticking to the bowl in Stacy Abram's toilet, maybe you can explain how Biden's* policies had no effect on the price of gas gain for us. Thanks.

This is the point that kills me with the "greedy oil companies are why gas is so high" crowd.     They are usually one and the same with the "the price of gas is just about supply and demand" crowd.     That crowd likes to say that coming out of CV19 lockdowns juiced demand and that's why prices are so high now (and greedy oil co's).     Wasn't our economy roaring in the 2nd and 3rd years of the Trump admin?    So  when the US economy was booming under Trump,  wouldn't there have been a lot of increasing demand for oil?    So shouldn't that have meant greedy oil companies + increasing demand = higher gas prices?     But that's not what happened, hmmmmmmmm, I wonder why. . .

I remember the good ole days of no war, cheap gas, an uncorrupt, pro America President we actually read about daily. What a disaster we have today.

It’s things like the above that expose Rusty for the dope he is. He’s hooked on the left wing spin.  It changes from day to do day, todays narrative the opposite of yesterdays. “It’s only 8 pct” in the morning becomes “let’s go to Venezuela and cut off Russia” by that afternoon. Rusty is incapable of original thought. Dumber than Newbie. That’s why he shifts to typos and  moronic blathering about Trump and where Volty lives. He’s got nothing but that garbage on his own. Shallow as a puddle.

So let's take the average price of all grades/all formulations of gasoline prices..stats are from the US Energy Information Administration:

I'll use February since that is the last full month we have and go back to 2016

2016- 1.87 (which was the lowest of the Obama administration for whatever reason)

2017- 2.42

2018- 2.71

2019- 2.39 (which looks like an anomaly to some degree in relation to 2018 considering by summer the prices were back in line with 2018. Also, I believe there were reports in that time from the American Petroleum Institute that the number of US fuel supplies was smaller than originally thought)

2020- 2.53 (last full month pre pandemic.....by April the price was 1.94 a gallon- so 60 cent drop....supply and demand)

2021- 2.59

2022- 3.61

So pretty clearly 2021 people were still working from home primarily and traveling was still not full scale yet and price remained pretty flat from 2020 to 2021. By the time 2022 hits we have refineries in the US still not operating at full capacity because they are missing workers who have still not entered the workforce yet, OPEC is equal parts not willing to increase supply and some countries are already struggling to meet their quotas, and of course Russia decided to invade the Ukraine. Additionally, with the stock market becoming more volatile because of Russia speculators are putting a lot of their money into oil since it is a safer investment. AAA was predicting 100 dollar barrels of oil back in the beginning of February and said any disruption would cause stuff to go higher. The first few items led to 100 dollar a barrel oil....the latter two have pushed things way out of control.

That was a lot of fun. A waste of a morning though, but eh... I don't mind, I enjoyed it.

When I saw how ill-informed Rusty was, spouting ignorant garbage out of his ass, he was a big pinata bouncing bouncing around in the wind, in need of a good smack. Since he proved incapable of talking about oil, he started to go with the insults and distractions to try to change the topic to his turf. Whenever I catch wiffleball or worms like that, they swims away, but he kept coming back for more.

Ideally they'd be like MTSkibum who'll give a good discussion, but most others cannot. Rusty proved today that he is running on empty upstairs.

So many highlights. "Go to bed" was pretty good. I liked that. I also liked pointing out that I'd verified the information from the FT article in another source and it never registered with him. LOL Dumb Dumb.

It's funny because I kind of likened him to one of those paddleball things. Where rusty is the ball attached to an elastic string that you just keep whacking and he keeps being drawn back for more.

The dude just keeps trying to defend that which can't be defended, as he attacks the unassailable.

Would you be willing to pay more to cut off Russian oil imports?

I would. I did the math.

I fill up about ever two weeks. If gas goes up $2 a gallon, that's an extra $64, or $4.57 a day.

I'm willing to spend an extra $4.57 a day to not import Russian oil.

If it affects my budget, I'll just buy less-expensive wine.

Rusty thinks oil at 130 dollars a barrel only affects the price at the pump. This is not a serious person.

So I spoke to the girl that works at the gas station I stop at for coffee (4.49 a gallon this morning) she said the gas sales are  the same, people need it after all, but they are selling less of everything else in the store. Nice work libtards. Small A’s, tats.

... that is meant to provide fuel for the military in an emergency situation.

... that hardly makes more than a half day's dent when spread out over the entire country.

... that is served up by the mainstream media as a panacea for ill informed lemming public as they try to provide cover and distraction for the vegetable they installed in the White House.

Show me where it is "meant to provide fuel for the military in an emergency situation."

Trump authorized a release from the reserve in September 2019 following the attacks on the Saudi production facilities, which cut the country's production in half.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/15/trump-says-he-has-authorized-release-of-oil-from-strategic-petroleum-reserve-if-needed-after-saudi-attacks.html

Biden in November ordered a release to tamp down gas prices.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2021/11/23/president-biden-announces-release-from-the-strategic-petroleum-reserve-as-part-of-ongoing-efforts-to-lower-prices-and-address-lack-of-supply-around-the-world/

The reserve was created after the Arab oil embargo of the early 1970s. I remember people waiting in super long lines to get gas. A pansy such as you couldn't handle that kind of thing.

The reserve can hold 727 million barrels.

https://www.energy.gov/articles/history-strategic-petroleum-reserve

That represents more than a month of U.S. consumption.

https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/verify/fact-check-strategic-oil-reserve-release-how-much-oil-is-in-the-reserve/65-dfd49fae-0d4f-4a67-a11c-6529bd17aa22#:~:text=The barrels being released are, barrels of oil a day.

So when you throw in your usual MSM is the debbil comment, your entire post is a roaring waterfall of misinformation.

Consider yourself pwned!

Yes, now I know why you used February, a one month average, rather than a yearly average.

‘Liars figure and figures lie.

I specifically said why I chose February. It wasn't being selective.

But you want to play this game I see....Masshole said about years 2 and 3 of Trump's term. So let's do years

2016- 2.25 a gallon

2017- 2.52 a gallon

2018- 2.81 a gallon

2019- 2.69 a gallon

2020- 2.26 a gallon

2021- 3.10 a gallon

Hmm- what possibly could've happened in 2020 to drive gas prices down 43 cents. And gee- when you look monthly in 2021- it almost seems like when spring and summer hit- with stuff opening back up- it drove demand up. And gee 2022 in February shows prices jumping again- man what could've happened in February of 2022.

This is so simple and you people are being silly at this point.

It’s only 8 pct? Well, it’s about 14 pct of Russias export. Weird how they went with the lower, less important number. You go ahead and nod you’re head to what you are fed. And when the demand increased, why hasn’t the supply? Russia is still supplying. Who isn’t?

There was high demand. We were doing fine. Why? There was a president who wanted to drill even more than what we were at the time. We were exporting. Competition.  Then demand decreased due to Covid. Still doing ok. The threat of us drilling was still there. Then we got a guy who wanted to go with green energy and refuses to drill more. Competition eliminated.  No need for the other oil producing countries to increase supply because they can just jack up the price. It’s not like we are going to increase supply our selves. Now we beg Venezuela. That’s how I function.

Plus things happening, just like with the stock market. A lot of knee-jerk reacting to current events.

It's a good thing the stock market and oil industry don't follow JustinCharge's endless chicken-little stream.

We'd be paying $20 a gallon, and our 401Ks would hit rock bottom.

I see more and more companies calling for drilling in the US to help gas prices. You know, the thing Biden stopped his first week in office that Trump had going just fine with gas prices low.

Oh and the liberals response to all of these gas prices rising: “if Trump would have spent more on green energy for cars we wouldn’t be in this mess” swear to God these liberals are straight idiots and you can’t tell them anything. They won’t listen. Everything is Trumps fault and will be so for the next 30 years.
