Recommended Posts

My Slav neighbors did it a couple months back. It came out really good.

Well crap. Now I feel like I have to at least try it.

The only thing I ever do anything different with bacon is when I have venison. I'll wrap the deer meat in bacon, then crock pot it. Both come out excellent.

Otherwise, it's the usual frying pan.

Think I read somewhere that Kaepernick is a fan. 🤔

Okay, I talked to the Slavs next door and he said it isn't an eastern European thing he thinks it Mexican.

Anyway here is how it's done.

Get a pork belly

Get a big pot and put a half-inch to inch of water (depends on how big the pieces of bacon are cut)

boil and flip until you get the doneness you want. The slav liked them crispy.

Pull them out when finished, salt to taste.

Add water as needed.

Fish don’t fry in the kitchen. Beans don’t burn on the grill.

I prefer to smoke them but the way the Slav did it was pretty good too.
