Im at a family reunion about 2hrs from pittsburgh.  Wifes family.(saggy old mom Ds)

One of my relatives is a dr and covid researcher.  Him and his wife both are drs.  

We talked a little bit about the science of it.

His whole family is vaxxed even his teenage kids. 

They still wear masks because of their jobs.  So do their kids.  

He said there is no proof that says its not a natural evolution.  That it is all politicized. It wasnt made in a lab.

I tend to believe him.

It can be both not made in the lab, but escaped from the lab.   That’s probably most likely IMO.

It's what virus' do, they mutate. This thing isn't going anywhere. It's here to stay. That's what makes this all so focking stupid. If we aren't prepared to wear masks everyday for the rest of eternity then we need to just stop with the buIIshit right now and get back to life before covid 19. The herd will be a little thinner (both literally and figuratively) but so be it.

Me too and that it came from the lab. You'd have to be a special kind of stoopid to believe it came from a wet market when there's a focking virology lab in the same town where it originated.

But with kids, it’s probably still a legit concern. COVID spreads easier and is more deadly than the flu. And actually my kids do get the flu shot, I think a lot of them do

^To be clear, I’m not all that worried about kids for the most part and think schools need to be open.  But I think there is a concern if it spreads amongst kids and then ultimately spreads to the elderly who can still be at risk despite the vaccine.

Covid is not more deadly than the flu. Cooked books don't = facts.

I've never had a flu shot. In 50+ years I've never been seriously ill. I've been out in public everyday since this "pandemic" started. Never followed a single guideline until It was mandated and even then I only did it when I absolutely had to. I don't blame those of you who fell for the fear mongering but none of this was necessary. The .gov rooned people's lives and livelihoods for no good reason.

Well that's basically what I said.  I specifically said schools need to be open.   But masks in schools aren't the end of the world and I think it's crap that some governors have banned individual schools from requiring them.   And ideally schools should also be trying to improve ventilation systems which would probably do more than masks.

My sistets kid is 2. She recently started a business, and was going to put him in day care for the first time.

They're requiring masks, all day. For focking two year Olds.

I agree, you can’t make kids in daycare/preschool wear them.  But I think middle/high school probably should.  Elementary is kinda a gray area.
