I'm a moderate who lives in a very red neck of the woods. I kept my mouth shut about all the noise and misinformation flying around social media, so it was nice to have this place as an outlet for busting some yobbles, no different from being a thorn in Torrid Joe's side back in the day. 

I guess whoever has their finger on the ban button got tired of all the reporting and noise and decided to put an end to Rusty.

The thing is, back in the day we could come here, bitterly argue and mock each other all day and still be able to go have a beer and be friends, kind of like that Looney Tunes cartoon about the sheepdog and wolf.

When I was in Seattle, Torrid Joe and Gratefulted drove up from Portland, and we drank many beers one night and talked about everything but politics. The next day, we met an old Geek named Flipya4real at a sports bar and watched football all day. 

Then we went right back to arguing on the Geek Club. 

I've been part of some great Geek meetups. Wiffleball, me, Farmer Bernie and maybe TRF met Bert at his Texas ranch, where we had a blast drinking, shooting guns, playing poker and catching these enormous catfish in a stock pond. Wiffleball, who is a big feller, fell through the dock. 

TRF is a real-life friend to this day.  I and some other Geeks met at some lake shack for beers and poker. The next morning, I used a helium tank to fill up this massive weather balloon that Burt had sent me. We sat there for like an hour watching it drift into the heavens.  I have a foggy memory of Jetdoc, me and maybe TRF crashing Farmer Bernie's wedding in Houston.

I live in the vicinity of Recliner Pilot, and we were going to go get a beer at some point. Him and I have likely crossed paths many times and didn't know it.

I say all this to provide some context and insight into ancient bored history and that at the end of the day we're all Geeks, regardless of our backgrounds, political positions and that HT is a crossdresser.
