Dec 10 (Reuters) - Most of the 43 COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant identified in the United States so far were in people who were fully vaccinated, and a third of them had received a booster dose, according to a U.S. report published on Friday. 

  The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that of the 43 cases attributed to Omicron variant, 34 people had been fully vaccinated. Fourteen of them had also received a booster, although five of those cases occurred less than 14 days after the additional shot before full protection kicks in.

34 out of 43 that is almost the same percentage as vaxed vs unvaxed. I guess it mens the jab doesn’t work against this variant.

Apparently it's not all that severe. Can we just move on with our lives already? Get vaxxed, don't get vaxxed. It's your choice. Now go out and live your life.

My state (NY) has a mask mandate again. Is this going to go on forever?

At this point, the vaccine have  been very successful at preventing hospitalizations or death. Doesn't seem all that effective at preventing spread.

This is how we should have handled it from the beginning. But, you know, never let a crisis go to waste. And if there isn't a crisis to take advantage of, create one.

we dont know that yet.  it hasnt been around long enough.  it started in an area in Africa that skews very young, and the worry from day 1 was elderly deaths.

Because they have yet to get it. Most unjabbed have already been exposed. Jabbed had their couple of months ' protection' that has worn off and now they get their turn. They should have just let this weak virus run though the population, get herd immunity and be done with it. They could have treated properly and this would have been over at least a year ago. It's all fraud fauci, the who and the CDC fault this is not over with.

It started where 20% of the population has aids.  That means weakened immune systems.
