 Yup, but the secondary still worries me some. If they make it to the 2nd.round it's gonna be harder.. Don't want to go to Green Bay to play even though we've had some success against Rodgers.

I agree.

they are still a better opponent than LA  (who they would have had to play if the cowboys lost last week I think)

but they matchup well against the Cowboys and you cant underestimate the power of their run game.  

I also think the Niners have better coaching than the cowboys and roughly equal the talent.   They don't have the flash and Dash the Cowboys do, but I truly think as a team, they are better than the cowboys.

Cowboys are a good team, but from what I can tell, they seem to perform extremely well against inferior opponents, but when playing a team with more talent, they struggle a lot.   They play in what I consider to be a weak division which makes them look better than they actually are.

That's the concern I have with the Boys.

I also think the Cowboys will advance to face the Bucs in a exciting shootout......49ers might need to depend on Garoppolo and his inaccurate arm {49er's rank 21st in turnovers} to match the high scoring offense of the Cowboys, which also have the #1-defense in takeaways {34}...Jimmy G will be blitzed and pressured non-stop, he is far from mobile, expect the Boys to add a few more takeaways....

If this season is truly the last for Rothlisberger, he may come out and surprise with a great game.  its possible.  and given the odds, I think the chances of this happening are better than what the actual odds are in vegas.

but I can see why some would go out and bet on them.     If you were betting on superbowl odds, then you are getting close to zero.

For me, I think there are 2 ways this game is likely to go:

1) team loses (as expected) but Rothlisberger plays well 60-65%

2) Team pulls an upset.(likely 25-30%)

 

I'd bet against a blowout loss and him having a terrible game which I would say the odds are substantially lower.

I was under the impression that he meant win.  There's no chance they do that.  Cover?  Absolutely they could cover.  I wouldn't bet on them to do it, but I wouldn't fault anyone who did.
