Just where exactly have they done better?  They've had ONE hit in the last 5 years and that was the recent Lilo and Stitch.  Seriously, the only one.   And that will not make up for what they've lost over the last 5 years.

Lilo and Stitch

Inside Out 2

Deadpool and Wolverine

Moana 2

Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Blah Blah

The term "Papa John's Lesbian" is not a recognized or common phrase. It appears to be a misunderstanding or a conflation of two separate concepts. Papa John's is a pizza restaurant chain, and the term "Lesbian" refers to a sexual orientation, specifically a woman who is attracted to other women.

So, Elon Musk is financing a Gina Carano lawsuit against Disney due to their firing of her from Mandalorian.  He was also seen hanging out with an activist investor who is slowly trying to gain some control over Disney via board seats.  Maybe Musk will team up with this guy and buy Disney.

Gina Carano makes Disney bend the knee.   WINNING!!!!

Hopefully the blacklisting and censorship regimes in Hollywood continue to crumble.

Wait, am I reading this right, she only sued in the first place asking for $75K?  Lolololol.  If she settled, what’d she take?  $20k?  Nothingburger.

Enlighten me, what did I miss? Please don’t say something about the financial terms not being disclosed.  They’re not going to “settle” and pay her more than she asked for, which was clearly stated as $75k.  It says she also asked to be reinstated on the show, but the show might not even be coming back.

They're making a movie.  Disney tried multiple times to get the case tossed and lost.  So they were either going to trial where they would have lost or settling.  She held the cards.  So the settlement was more than 75k OR it included guaranteed future work, but your suggestion that it was 20k is laughable.

Disney "bent the knee" to a 2 bit actress suing for $75k

What they were forced to do that they didn’t want was say something nice about her.  And they didn’t even say they’d actually hire her again. Although honestly they probably should just to keep the woke right from complaining

Hey Strike, here is a comment you made in the Gerrymandering thread.

Gina Carano compared being a conservative to being a Jew in Nazi Germany.  This is who you are defending.

Why are people arguing over Carano?  She got what she wanted.  Good for her.

Well, no one is arguing except KarenHauck who, apparently, doesn't know how to read or understand words.  We're just here disputing his incomprehensible take away from the article he apparently didn't read OR understand.

Well 1) we don’t really know that

and 2) she only wanted $75k and to be reinstated on a show that may not exist anymore

Rarely does someone settle their lawsuit unless they get what they want.  She wanted to be able to have a career again.

Disagree.  One or both sides may be “happy” with the settlement, but settling usually means both sides give in a little bit compared to what they wanted originally.  And of course we don’t know the specifics here.

And no one was stopping her from having a career. She did a movie on the Daily Wire that reportedly grossed $804.

This article says she was seeking millions, which makes a lot more sense considering who was backing her lawsuit, and at least I've heard of this source unlike the obscure source Hackboy cited:

lol how long did you frantically google for that one?   Also lol at the headline of “Gina Carano pile drives Disney,” I’m sure that author isn’t biased at all.

Also, the fact that you claim to have read the NBC News article and still believe her seeking millions “makes a lot more sense,” shows that you are not only stupid, but dishonest as well.

Here is the legal doc:

I liked Gina Carino in her role and wished she stayed with the franchise.  Not sure this is a great flex on Disney.

Well we know #2 didn’t happen and Disney did not publicly admit fault, nor confirm that she will be hired in another role.

What would be your guess as to how much money they gave her?

It can.  As Artest posted, the request was for an amount to be determined at trial.  It's not uncommon in large civil cases for the wording to be similar to that, and for the judgment to be large.  What's pathetic is you actually thinking she sued for ONLY 75k while being bankrolled by Elon Musk.  The last time Musk bankrolled a case like this it bankrupted the loser

Court doc clearly says compensation based on lost wages to be determined but exceeding $75k.

Anyone thinks she settled for $75k or less is being naive.  I mean unless she's claiming she only lost 75k in wages.
