Voltaire 4,578 Posted May 25, 2022 For those of us that participated in the draft, we're following the "Bostonlager Rule" from the 80s music draft of not voting for yourself.

A couple others were very close for me, but these movies mean a lot to me. I highlighted my other faves in blue

BeenHereBefore 1,353 Posted May 26, 2022 I was looking at doing a 70's movie draft with the same format as the 80's, man that would really be tough and realized the 80's was a far better decade for movies and maybe the best ever. Everyone in this draft was awesome and did a great job! Thank you you guys and was a fun two weeks!

paulinstl 295 Posted May 27, 2022 You guys put some serious effort in this and picked some great movies. My problem is that each roster has so many movies it's almost impossible to compare each person's draft. If you had half the amount of movies it would still be almost impossible. I think 10 to 12 would be much more representative of each individual's taste. Maybe that's just me.

I guess it was designed to be fun for the participants, not so much for the voters to sort through the mess.

Not suggesting it but again if there was a 70's movie draft you would have a clear winner, To many good movies in the 80's and many left not drafted. Also everyone did a heck of job drafting! Everybody picked great movies in the mandated categories, so for me to determine who had the best draft, it's gonna boil down to the Wild Card movies. Since they weren't confined by a specific genre, they might offer a clearer picture of their tastes. Every team has killer movies in each specific genre so it's hard to find a clear winner. There are some epic movies from the 70s although you're right, I was too young to fully appreciate them at the time. TommyGavin 790 Posted May 27, 2022 I have been reluctant to vote as there are so many good choices but having drafted I had to pick one so I chose the squad that had the most movies that was on my radar and that was the deciding factor.
