You found a source that literally showed aspects of your previous post proved my point about you watching FOX news correct. HTH

I don't watch Fox News or any news, and I tend to avoid their website because it auto starts videos with audio, which I hate.

I asked google a question.  Google chose to highlight Tucker making fun of him.  It didn't tell me what is causing the lump.

You prove yourself yet again incredibly poor at drawing logical conclusions.

It just appears that way because I'm in a room full of idiots.

For example, go ahead and show us all those studies that correlate spelling with intelligence.

Message boards are a prefect example because how people type and write is really the only thing you have to judge intelligence. And some people really really stick out. It is what it is and if you can't tell the difference then you probably stick out to the more intelligent posters.

It's a really, really poor way to assess intelligence. You would actually have to be very very unintelligent to judge intelligence in that manner.

You can tell some things by what people write about. You can tell some things by how people construct sentences, which is different than grammar. You can tell a lot of things by how people construct paragraphs. You can tell a lot of things by how people organize information. You may not be able to see these things unless your own intelligence is high, high enough to understand these concepts and likely higher than the person you are analyzing.

I even just caught my own error of using "access" vs. "assess". I changed it but it's just that I don't really proofread my posts. It doesn't matter to me like my actual work matters to me.

I've never made fun of you for spelling because you don't go around saying what a great speller you are.

For fok sake.

Communicating by writing <> spelling

When I say "your foking stoopid" even someone with your low IQ understands the message even though every word is misspelled.

That fact that you used this quote incorrectly removes all doubt about your intelligence.

Funny you got it bookmarked though. 🤣  Free rent!

I'm a terrible speller. But know how to grammatically formulate sentences. Spelling is the easiest part to fix if you don't know how to spell some word. And when I say that it means I probably wouldn't be able to win a spelling bee.

I wouldn't know how to exactly define dangling participles, past participles, prepositional phrases, reflexive pronouns, etc but when I write or look at a sentence I can tell if it is incorrectly or correctly written. And it has gotten me to where I am today which is fine with me.

You still do not realize that this is your quote.  I did this twice to you now.  You have to be the dumbest person here.  I'm gonna go for three.

This was kind of fun for me to go through to see how many I knew without reading the definitions provided. I was probably like 85% on knowing these before I even read them.

The thing is, you don't need to know all of this to be a decent writer in general. Most people like myself simply recognize when things are written poorly and can say that it looks off and are able to rework it.

It's fun to relook at this stuff 25 years after learning all this shlt in high school and then forgetting as time went on.

It's too different quotes you moron.

If you realized it was your quote, then why did you give a serious response to it?

If you want a real answer, spelling is related to education, and it's clear you're not educated.

Trying to get it through your mush brain that when I wrote "how people write" it has very little to do with spelling.

Correcting a dummy's interpretation, and dummy thinks I'm correcting what I previously said because the dummy never grasped it in the first place.

Hoe Lee Fok you're retarded.

Just like when you said mute point and then told us that the spell check change moot to mute.  Sure.  We believe everything you say.

But hey, what do I know.  I have a mortgage.

Do you know the difference between intelligence and education?

I've known people with engineering degrees that didn't know how to jump start a car.  I know PhDs that are the top of their profession that don't spell very well.

Saying spelling is a sign of intelligence is dumb.  Saying it's a sign of education is even dumber.  You chose dumber.

I suspect that spelling correlates somewhat with education, but moreso with your attention to detail, which is a personality trait, not intelligence.

Exactly.  The best spellers are those that 1) Read a lot and 2) Are well educated.  There really isn't much to dispute there.

Well... I wouldn't say exactly, at least in response to me, because I asserted that attention to detail is more important than education.  I don't have data for this, but rather my experience in the past doing personality assessment consulting.

Actually, let me amend this.  If somebody consistently spells the same words wrong, I would correlate that more to education (i.e., lack of knowledge on the correct spelling).  But sheer volume of randomly misspelled words could be a genius who just doesn't pay attention to such details.

I’m sure it’s likely a sign of education.  But you don’t need an education to be be intelligent.  At first glance there doesn’t seem to really be all that much research on the topic TBH though, especially in the last 30 years or so.  The first link mentioned a study that “showed a modest correlation, but not statistically significant.”

Here’s one from 1915 and after skimming it does seem to claim the correlation is statistically significant: https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/pdf/10.1086/454475

I know exactly what is going on.  You've demonstrated several times now your inability to read and grasp what was written yet you get hung up on spelling.  It appears you're at a lower level of understanding than everyone else.

I don't get what's wrong with Fox news. Anyone who is freaking out about Fox got any examples of how they are so messed up? How can you think they are bad unless you yourself watch them and can give multiple examples on the topic?

You were taught by someone to read and write, you were taught the spelling rules as a child. - Correlation

You have two master's degrees and read a lot of books therefore your must be good speller. - Non-correlation.

Using spelling errors to point to someone not being educated. - Dumb

You and Jerry disagree on whether your beliefs match "exactly".  I agree with Jerry, what he wrote has a resemblance of being thought out and intelligent.  What you wrote is dumb.
