Roy Moore raped kids and still almost won election in Alabama, just because he had “R” next to his name.

Republicans don’t give a 💩 about anything but keeping in power, and will vote for the worst human beings imaginable as long as they get that.

If it wasn’t Republican vs Democrat, and just these 2 candidates against each other, nobody would vote for Walker.

What would be hilarious is if Walker wins and then gets confused and decides to vote with the Democrats on everything when he gets to Congress.

Who raped what? Are we switching topics to Al Franken now?

This is a huge problem with how our country votes right now.  It's party over everything else and both sides do it.  I don't think we're going to have decent candidates going forward if this mindset continues.

In defense of Republicans, they have many voters who vote “R” every election, no matter what - this helps them maintain power. The reasons Democrats often lose is because a lot of them stay home unless they really like a certain candidate. I’m not saying Dems should accept garbage candidates, but if they’ve got a candidate that is just average, maybe they should go vote for them anyway.

No.  Stop voting for someone just so another candidate doesn't get elected.  This is why we're focked.  Vote for people you like and believe can do good for our country.  Ignore the party and pick the right person.  We're stuck with crap because people are too stubborn or scared to vote for someone out of their party.

Democrats voting for Trump is how he won the first time. Good observation.

The choice is simple: You either vote GOP or you accept litter boxes and scratching posts in public schools.

Pick a side.

Walker is an extraordinarily elite athlete but in every other way he’s an everyday guy. He’s a bit dim and he’s made a string of bad choices that don’t line up with his professed beliefs. He’s not a slick crook and weasel. He’s not corrupt nor for sale nor part of the insider system.Hopefully he’s just a concerned citizen who can use his huge celebrity profile to generations  blue collar appeal.

Walker is an unispiring idiot. He's a Republican Maizie Hirono.

I don't look forward to Walker's exhilarating rhetoric, insightful committee questions, sponsored legislation, or media press conferences . I just need him to sit in a desk next to Tim Scott and, when the time comes, pay attention when Tim leans over and tells him what button needs pushing on his voting pad.

But he is a means to an end. Hershel Walker's election is necessary because the most important thing he does is assist corrupt Fishface in his quest to count to 51. I wouldn't want too many Walkers, but just one out of 100, or two out of a hundred when you include Hirono, eh, let the others figure stuff out.

This is a problem with politics though. It isn't just "1". It's the canary in the coal mine. "Hey the people will take this bumbling fool just because of the letter behind his name- who else can we place that is unqualified but will do what we want." And of course Walker is for sale- he is solely being propped up because of his celebrity.

Hell PA is probably going to elect a guy who isn't from PA, has zero qualifications for political office, and is best known for being a daytime talk show host to the general public. All to replace another Republican senator who was at least was for the most part very competent and someone you could easily vote for.

Of the two- Fetterman and Oz- yes Fetterman is the better choice.

Also, I'm not a Democrat...and I do think a person should be from the state they are running for office in.

Better than Oz's. And polls show many voters in PA agree- even those on the GOP side.

When he was mayor in Braddock county major crimes in the area were at historic low levels. The people of that community credit him and his leadership as he was present and he showed true care for the community. Homicides dropped in his initial years and they went without a homicide for 5 years of his leadership.

He works a lot on marijuana reform and I think a lot of that is where he is speaking about prisoners being left out early. Additionally, Oz has said too he is not opposed to releasing prisoners early. He also showed support for The First Step Act which is a bi-partisan bill about reducing the size of the federal prison population. Not to mention that bill was criticized by the GOP when the first people released were people in violent and sexual crimes.

Things are far more complex than the quick ads and hit pieces on TV

Yeah but he wants to let out violent criminals. And he has. Do you think there are many people in prison for marijuana? And Braddock PA has a population of 1700 people, and went steadily down during his time as mayor. The mayor makes 150 dollars a month. Let’s not act like it’s a big job.

You ask a question. I answer it and you try to shift the discussion to something else. There are a lot of people in jail in PA for marijuana stuff. Fetterman did not say that. What he did say was:

Quote

"“More than 1,000 people are sitting in jail right now on what amounts to a death sentence despite never having taken a life. That’s not because a judge thought the sentence was deserved. It’s because a one-size-fits-all law makes it mandatory. Any reasonable person who looks at the unfairness of these sentences will acknowledge the need for change.”

Quote

"I was on a panel with Secretary Wetzel earlier before the pandemic hit, and he said something remarkable that I agree with. He said we could reduce our prison population by a third and not make anyone less safe in Pennsylvania. And that’s a profound statement. Think about that, our corrections budget is around $3.2 billion. You reduce it by a third, you’re talking, what, conservatively $900 million a year that could be spent on our schools and our roads, on our broadband network, you name it. And we’re spending it warehousing people. Statistically we know, we age out of crime. We age out of crime. And the recidivism rate for juvenile lifers is, what, less than 1%? It’s astronomically small."

That is far more nuanced than what is being said about him.

What are Oz's qualifications? What did he run? What do you know of his specific positions? And you aren't in PA so why do you give a damn about him other than you want "Republicans to control the Senate"?

Let's not act like daytime talk show host is a big job.

I'm not sold on that. I think it will be close in the end. A lot will hinge on the upcoming debate between the two. If Fetterman shines there (as there are concerns about the stroke after effects) I think Oz is in trouble.

Marijuana stuff? No, no one is in prison for marijuana stuff. If they still were they would have been let out. If the parole boards are letting out violent criminals then why are they leaving marijuana defendants there? No one would object to that. They don’t let them out because they don’t exist. And Oz has no experience. That’s true. Some people like that. But we have seen Fettermans. It’s not very good. At least Oz has a job.

No response on the quotes from Fetterman that outline his actual positions.

Fetterman is better and more qualified than Oz....the GOP ran a terrible candidate here and he still might win because people are more interested in rooting for the "team" rather than saying "Hey bring in a better player."

I don’t think Oz is a good candidate at all. He has RINO written all over him. But I think Fetterman is a disgrace as a man. Anyway, let it be noted that Mooney thinks people should only be allowed to talk about candidates that are running in their city or state.

Herschel Walker claimed he didn’t even know the woman who said he paid for her to have an abortion.

It turns out she also had a child with him.

Most liars at least put a little bit of thought into their lies. Not Herschel.

Quote

The woman, a registered Democrat whose years-long relationship with Walker continued after the abortion, told The Daily Beast that her chief concern with revealing her name was because she is the mother of one of Walker’s own children and she wanted to protect her family’s privacy as best she could while also coming forward with the truth. (Walker has publicly acknowledged the child as his own, and the woman proved she is the child’s mother and provided credible evidence of a long-term relationship with Walker.)

I hadn't been following this thread and wondered if Fetterman would come up.  Dude had a stroke, can't speak, can't seem to put coherent thoughts together, won't debate as a result, lived at home most of his life mooching off of his parents, and has some sort of alien growing out of his neck of unknown cause or seriousness.  He's a weekend at Bernie's candidate who won't do a single thing for PA other than sit at the vote button while some aide lifts his hand and pushes whatever button the Left supports.
