If they feel that strongly over it-protest, don't buy Rutgers products, don't send your kids there and if Rutgers feels that the negative impact isn't worth the positives she brings to the University, they can make that decision.  It would be hard to convince me that she has a right to speak, but people don't also have a right to speak out against her.
