Yeah, and we won't have a covid lockdown.  No one should even try to argue with you on that.  Keep dying on those hills.

You ever think of doing reality TV?  This whole false bravado where you kick and scream that you're right works really well on reality tv.

We're not getting 10K are we?  :(

Did I not admit I was wrong about that? Oh yea, I did. Cause it was so absurd I didn’t believe it would happen. Turns out I was right about it being absurd

Anyway, I’m done with you idiots. When you won’t even acknowledge the actual law on an actual gov website then there’s no point in continuing. Have fun but I’m done. My patience is gone just like your intelligence

Should we start arguing about whether you're really done with this or not?  Because I don't think you are.

If it's illegal, why wouldn't he be held accountable by an actual court of law?

Because the case is being tried in Canada where there is a great likelihood that the "Tranny Defense" works just as effectively as the "Chewbacca Defense."

Nothing in the article says he’s putting his name on her book or claiming anything but the redesigned cover is his work. HTH

Yes it does.  I posted the line from the article twice now.  He didn't just re-design the cover.  He's also removing the copyright information and replacing it with his own.  He's selling as if it were his book.

Digby posts a bunch of US law cites for a dude allegedly committing copyright infringement in Canada for a book by a UK author without knowing if the modified books were even by a US publisher.

PROOF!~@$#@#$

When I was in college, I made notes in the margins of some books and then sold them when I was done.  I hope they don't come after me for copyright infringement.

When you have multiple people telling you you’re wrong with facts instead of opinions then I’d prob put down the shovel if I were you

Where's the new copyright information?

Not when you are one of those people and you don't understand the 'facts' you keep presenting.

The article doesn’t say this. It says “Flom then removes the covers and the copyright pages of the books — and replaces them with his own uniquely created versions, SWNS reported.”

I’m assuming it would have said he was replacing her name with his own if that’s what he was doing. That would be plagiarism.

Maybe digby has some South African copyright laws he can copy and paste and then yell about how he's proving something some more.

I haven’t read much past the first few posts but this guy sounds like an idiot. I’m all for trans rights and I don’t like what Rowling has said on the subject but…come on man. Stop with the stupidity.

It's a good thing you stopped reading the rest of the thread, since you don't like stupidity.

Dumb, can't imagine this not being illegal but, let's go ahead and fix that if so.

Is Canada the new China as far as intellectual property is concerned?

Great point, this dude is part of a protected class.

From the website:

If he's removing her name from the book and the copyright and putting his own in, that's plagiarism.  Isn't it?

If his “uniquely created versions” include his own name it’s plagiarism. But the articles doesn’t say that. Neither does the quote you’ve posted 3 times now.

Wrong. https://99designs.com/blog/design-resources/copyright-infringement/

I said pages ago this seemed like a copyright violation. It’s just not plagiarism unless he’s trying to pawn the book off as his own. Not every copyright violation is plagiarism. You know that right?

You guys should order a book from him and then sue him for defrauding you.  You could get millions...
