I knew about the habits and how many get caught from the book I read many years back, I posted about it weeks back in the other thread we had on this. Anyways sounds like after your cash flow is done you are screwed and he didn't address what you do for income.

i had an idea for a short story where a guy needs to go on the run and disappear without a trace but he realizes in the modern world its too hard.  so he does the exact opposite.  He announces publicly his location and what he is up to and then holds society at eternal ransom.  he says he has set up nuclear bombs in various locations and paired them with a dead man's hand.  if they dont treat him like a king, he detonates one.  if they kill him, all nukes go off. then he claims he has a network of associates maintaining the bombs.  that could be a fake claim or a real one.  he also detonates one nuke right after his announcement to prove he can do it.

although i could substitute chemical and biological weapons in place of nukes in this story.

i was kinda inspired by the geek club to write this story since the subject of disappearing comes up a lot.  so thanks!
