Bands you saw the most times Live

Recommended Posts

I can’t give numbers but I’ve seen Metallica a lot but not as much as The Allman Brothers. It was easy as they played at The Beacon theater for 2 weeks every March. I think the most I did was 4 in a run. But I went many years in a row. Miss that.

I saw Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ maybe 15 times. Other than local bands, I can’t think of anyone else I have seen more than once.

My wife loves The National. I'll have to go see them the next time they come around.

Loser.

We'll go see him every time he comes around. Same with the Stones at this point. My wife is kicking herself for not going with me and my son a year or two ago. They were focking great.

I saw Built to Spill a few years back - they were great. Wife and I ended up taking with a slightly older couple who had seen them 50+ times.

I had a friend in college who was a huge Dave Mathew’s fan. He set up yearly trips to shows where 30-45 of us would go, tailgate and sometimes see the concert. This continued after college for a few years. I probably saw them 7-8 times.

Grateful Dead 100 times or more.  I don't have an accurate count.

the Lamont Cranston Band, 50 times give or take.

Wow!

I saw The Dead twice, the first time at the Summit in Houston. Some girl offered to sell me opium. I just started laughing.

The second time was at Manor Downs outside Austin. Side note: paulinstl was at that show.

My college roommate and I got this monster bag of homegrown weed. It had about as much THC in is as O'Douls has alcohol in it. Zero buzz, but it still looked and smelled like weed.

The night before the show, we rolled a bazillion joints, with the plan being to use them to barter our way to the front of the stage.

And that's exactly what we did. "Hey, man, we'll give you a joint if you let us in front of you!"

It took like two hours, but we got there!

They were probably my second most. My ex liked him, and I was ok with it. They actually put on a fun show.

I had (yes had) a cousin that followed Metallica around the country in the 90’s with nothing but his long hair skateboard- had lots of stories then heroin ended the stories.
