Unfortunately the Taliban is now the official government of Afghanistan and those vehicles belong to the government.  So we're SOL.  

On the flip side to make things worse, Russia has offered to buy most of the inventory not being utilized.  Afghanistan needs money, so its only a matter a time before the deal happens.

That's 100 true. You know how many C-17s we'd need to get all them back and what that would cost? It was cheaper to abandon them, they don't know what to do with them anyhow.

There was some equipment that shouldn't have been left behind. I also think The Biden Admin totally dropped the ball with the withdrawal.

 

The problem with the sh1t in Afgan is there's no port. So like you said we either fly it out or bring it in through a port in Pakistan. Pakistan shut those ports down for our use. So we the military took what we could. It shouldn't have come to that, but Biden wanted out.

Ohh, he definitely F'd it up. They even left LRRPs out in the mountains, other soldiers were left behind as well. Some of which had to find their own way out. It was much like Vietnam in that regard.
