The ***OFFICIAL*** Vivek Ramaswamy for POTUS Thread

Trump has 0% chance of winning the general.

In an actual "free and fair" election, Trump's odds of winning 2024 POTUS are not very good. Lots of people are relying on polling numbers but the entire polling industry is broken beyond repair at this point.

Odds are, like 2020, both sides will cheat as much as possible again. Republicans need to use early voting. Odds are that Team Blue will try to steal this election if it comes to that. I'm sure some radical leftists here will throw a fit over that statement, but at this point, with all that's been done around Trump ( some persecution of him is egregious beyond all measure, some problems he brings onto himself for no good reason at all)

If the cheating fails, odds are Team Blue's corporate cronies will attempt to assassinate Trump.

If that fails, they will attempt to impeach him again ( I don't think they'll have the numbers)

Barring that, the rioting, looting and burning will start again. If there is no other way to remove Trump, Team Blue and DNC HQ will commit to setting the country on fire anyway.

I've said this before - If I said in 2020 or before, (even though I wasn't posting here in the GC at the time) that Trump was going to get assassinated by the "establishment", most people would laugh. But now? Why would anyone laugh now? I mean look at everything that's been done to persecute him. Sure he's an imbecile and sure he's a grifter. But the level of coordination to politically persecute him is dragging this country into uncharted territory. Basically the DNC was willing to lose the FBI as a legacy institution to get rid of Trump. They were willing to pay that price.

Exactly.  He shares a lot of the same opinions I have.  He's a great speaker.  He's respectful.  Now, we just need to get Trump and Biden out of the picture.

He's also young.  I didn't realize he's younger than I am.

Smart is a key criteria. We need to stop thinking that no experience is better than experience, though. Many of his ideas are unworkable and probably a result of not having a full understanding of how the institutions of government work.

yah Biden has an amazing understanding of how to funnel money to foreign entities, good point

and his ideas are just that, dude has probably had 100,000's of ideas in his life, and when putting them in motion realizes how they do or dont work and need to be adjusted

obviously you know very little about his background

Come on, I haven't said Biden is good, bad, or anything. I'm not comparing the two.

I only know what's on his website. His ideas on government bureaucracy (eliminating departments and agencies, moving employees out of Washington, etc) are simply not workable in any legitimate timeframe and will cause way more chaos than everybody thinks. How are taxes going to be collected if you eliminate the IRS? I mean, nobody like taxes or the IRS, but what do you replace it with? Not to mention eliminating Social Security? Ban social media for kids? these ideas appeal to the GOP base but have literally no chance of being enacted if by some miracle he's elected President.

It's all pie in the sky and learning on the job shouldn't be what we desire in a President.

again Ideas, lets see what he suggests, I am sure hes just saying it to blow smoke right?  No he has an idea, the department of nuclear doesn't need to exist, when its entire existence is to prevent nuclear advancement, its a waste of money, dept of education another.  moving employees out of washington?  why not, we learned remote work is very possible especially in clerical positions

as far as kids/social media, we as a whole try to prevent kids from being poisoned, cigarettes, alcohol, driving.  This might be something worth exploring, our kids brains are being poisoned by social media, online bullying has increased suicides in youth, and tiktok and the likes have increased the stupidity

social security does need to be eliminated, we aren't having the 2.4 kids per household to sustain it, something needs to be done, the amount collected is far less then the amount paid out

the general statement you make no chance of being enacted, well welcome to politics, most policies that someone runs on never get enacted, hence gridlock

still waiting on your boy biden to decriminalize cannabis, as promised by every DEM president since clinton

now if you want to show me an actual democrat candidate worth a damn please feel free

Sherrod Brown has been an effective Senator from Ohio for a long time. He would make a fine President if he ever decided to run.

hes not a candidate, thats the point, I dont know anything about him.

but I guarantee if he did he would have a ton of policies that I wouldnt agree with, nor could be enacted

of everyone who has stepped in to date, Vivek is the best candidate hands down

Nobody serious is going to run against a sitting President, and I wouldn't expect a Democrat to have policies you agree with.

Tim Scott is a better candidate than Vivek.

I think Vivek would destroy Scott in a debate, but Scott is currently sitting second for me

and no I am good with democrat policies when they make sense, I am very moderate

unfortunately, the dem party is extreme left now

It's time for something different.  I'd like to see what he can do and bring in the right people to accomplish things.  I think he'll have way more bipartisan support Trump could ever come close to.  I think democrats will be much more willing to support a guy like Vivek than Trump.

I think you won't get a lot of Democrats supporting a candidate that pledges to pardon Trump. That's a hard, hard sell.

They'll forget about Trump eventually.  He won't be running again.

There's an approximately zero chance that Trump will not be a dominant force in this election cycle whether he's the nominee or not.

If he doesn't get elected and doesn't run for President then he will fade away.  If we get a solid President then we can all forget about him.

I'm in on Trump because there is no other person who can handle all the slander the current day liberals throw at conservatives. Especially if one is president.

He does a very good job articulating his points, and does not bring the drama of a Trump or Desantis, I like that about him.  Most of his positions are ones I can get behind as well.  He is an outsider so we should expect the deep state to hate him as much as Trump

Idea.  Can Biden pardon Trump, then the GOP drops any investigations into both Bidens?  Caveat is both must walk away from politics into to sunset.

Nobody is talking about or fighting for the citizens.  90% of our collective time and energy is over what new law we can twist to get another special counsel to look at yada yada yada.

Its time.  DC is way to old and compromised and there needs to be a reset.

Good thought but I don't think it changes anything in Washington. Next up for the pedocrats, gavin newsom. Put Biden in jail or let him drop dead naturally, I don't care.

I would wholeheartedly support Trump again if he runs again.

I see Vivek as too late to the party and maybe a bit too BRICSy ... Trump has the thick skin I want but lacks suave ... I also don't think that any of this matters because of the behind-the-scenes bullocks that makes the world turn into a piece of shat
