When Biden arrived, Archer said Biden "shook everybody's hand" and joined their conversation....

....In 2020, the New York Post reported an explosive story about Hunter Biden introducing his then-vice president father to a top executive at Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, where Hunter had served on its board and reportedly collected more than $50,000 per month....The story set off a firestorm and rejections from Biden's close aides. Andrew Bates, who is now a White House spokesperson but at the time worked on the communication team of Biden's 2020 campaign, roundly denied the meeting ever happened...Likewise, in that same Politico article, which centered around Biden's campaign "punching back" against the Post's story, other top Biden advisers flatly rejected that Biden met the Burisma executive. Michael Carpenter, who worked for Biden during the alleged encounter and was being paid more $200,000 at the Penn Biden Center, chalked it up as a Russian disinformation campaign....."This is a Russian disinformation operation," said Carpenter, who now acts as the U.S. permanent representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. "I'm very comfortable saying that...."

....The Washington Post also published a fact-check piece in 2021 that referenced pushback from an unnamed "campaign spokesman for Joe Biden" and "officials who worked for [Biden]." It is unclear whether this spokesperson was also Bates. "A campaign spokesman for Joe Biden had said a review of Biden’s schedule for that day found no record of any such meeting. Officials who worked for him in 2015 also told The Fact Checker that no such meeting took place," the Washington Post piece reported....But Archer, a longtime Hunter Biden business partner and friend, contradicted those claims and said that then-Vice President Biden was in attendance and was part of the dinner. Fox News Digital obtained the more than 140-page transcript of Archer's interview before the House Oversight Committee on Monday, which transpired behind closed doors....The transcript shows that investigators had asked Archer about the dinner mentioned in the New York Post report, which happened at Washington, D.C.'s, upscale restaurant Cafe Milano in 2015. The story revolved around an April 2015 email from Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi, who had written to Hunter Biden the day after the dinner to thank him for inviting him to the nation's capital and allowing him to meet his father and spend "some time together...."

Tapper kicked off the interview before repeatedly saying he saw "no evidence" that President Biden did anything wrong....

....Comer warned during the interview that multiple agencies appeared to be blocking the progress of the investigation...."The Biden attorneys are obstructing, they're intimidating witnesses, the DOJ will not cooperate with us, the FBI will not cooperate with us, the IRS will not cooperate with us," he told Tapper. "Thank God we had whistleblowers from the IRS testified to our committee that they were told to stand down by the DOJ." ....IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley claimed Weiss alleged to multiple witnesses that he was told by the DOJ he could not bring charges against Hunter in California and Washington D.C. David Axelrod, the "frontman" for Barack Obama, has a pretty impossible task here. He needs to "remove" Joe Biden AND Kamala Harris from getting the DNC ticket in 2024 POTUS and installing in Gavin Newsom as the new "contender" without damaging the Party overall and losing any more ground with clear voting blocks that are leaving Team Blue already. 

This is why Axelrod has to try to protect Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who was used as a "bagman" for Harvey Weinstein to pay off those accusing him of sexual assault and rape. It's a pretty toxic narrative when you consider the hard contrast is Casey DeSantis ( a mother and cancer survivor with no scandal) 

The new "narrative" is that Siebel Newsom was "raped"  Is that true? We don't know. But it's currently politically expedient for Gavin Newsom in 2024 to say so. The problem, of course, is that the other "affairs" with Staffers, paid with tax dollars, in the Newsom Administration will come to light. Which negates Newsom's one true political value - To appeal to suburban women voters. 

What's part of the huge problem for Axelrod? By damaging Joe Biden, and to keep trying to crush him, but only so far, it all backfires if Newsom can't win the DNC ticket. It's very hard to push out the incumbent who is the sitting POTUS, even for someone who is a walking disaster zone like Biden. Neera Tanden now has operational control of the White House, and she's flushed out all Obama loyalists who wouldn't fall in line  ( Ron Klain and Susan Rice to headline that effort) 

This is an impossible mission for Axelrod. Because even if he can get Biden off the ticket, the DNC and Team Blue has to justify why Kamala Harris won't ascend. She's a "black woman" and the first female VPOTUS in the age of "identity politics" And now Obama, the DCCC and DNC want to kick her to the curb for the Ken Doll archetype of "white privilege"? 

As @seafoam1 so aptly points out, these people are stupid. You have to reach untold levels of stupid to let this kind of chaos get this far for so long.

A few weeks before the 2020 presidential election, the New York Post published an article claiming they had obtained a copy of the laptop’s data. According to them, it contained evidence of Joe Biden engaging in corrupt activities related to foreign policy decisions benefiting Hunter and the companies he worked with.

The FBI swooped in and seized the laptop from the repair shop. They confirmed its existence and authenticity. So, yes, it’s real—no Russian hackers involved ( the lies espoused by the DOJ and media as well as the President himself), just some good old-fashioned laptop drama.

Fast forward to June 11, 2024. Hunter Biden faced federal gun charges related to the purchase of a revolver back in 2018. His personal messages from the laptop were used as evidence in his trial. Despite denials and controversy, the jury convicted him.

Hunter also faced tax evasion charges. He initially planned to plead guilty to those counts, but the plea deal fell apart in July 2023. So, he’s been juggling gun charges, tax evasion, and laptop intrigue. 

The laptop did play a role in Hunter’s conviction.
