Ex-Anheuser-Busch exec reveals how lefty investment firms pressure companies to go woke

.... Anson Frericks said behind-the-scenes politicking from firms like New York-based BlackRock and Pennsylvania-based Vanguard spur many of the controversial decisions sparking nationwide boycotts from longtime more conservative customers — such as the ill-fated Bud Light promotion with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney He said BlackRock, Vanguard, and another firm, State Street, manage about $20 trillion in capital and use their clout to promote agenda politics being pushed on them by progressive lawmakers overseeing government pension funds that the companies profit from...

....One of the firms manages California’s pension fund — the largest in the country — and California politicians can have a big say in the corporate governance and politicking of the firms they invest so heavily in, he added....“In California, for example, they recently have mandated those large pension funds that they divest from things like fossil fuels and oil and gas, and then when Bill de Blasio, [former] mayor of New York, was there, he did the same thing....But they also tell BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard if they’re going to manage their money, they have to commit to things like ESG — diversity, equity, inclusion — and adopt firm-wide commitments that they therefore then force onto all the major companies in corporate America.”

Huge companies that manage money get to throw their money around and make companies do as they say.  Manipulate brands that we have known and used for decades.  Yet when joe blow who makes 75k a year decides to drink a different beer people like Gutter lose their minds.

Wild times.

Bud Light boycott is costing sales staff up to $2,000-a-month as sales tanked as much as 60% over the Memorial Day weekend - amid fears 'good people are going to start leaving brand because they aren't making money'

Salespeople working for independent wholesalers that distribute Anheuser-Busch products are feeling the pain of the ongoing boycott in their wallets ...Some say they have lost commission because of the drop in sales because of the boycott tied to the partnership with trans Dylan Mulvaney ...Parent company Anheuser-Busch has lost $27 billion in value since the boycott began...Sales of Bud Light have declined for seven consecutive weeks after the product endorsement from the controversial TikToker garnered immediate backlash...

...Incomes have been slashed for the salespeople who work at the roughly 500 independent wholesalers that sell Anheuser-Busch products to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores....Former Anhesuer-Busch InBev - AB's parent company - executive Anson Frericks recently told ABC News the product boycott is undoubtedly bringing about financial pain for the thousands of salespeople who work for wholesalers who depend largely on performance-based compensation....Compensation for salespeople varies across distributors and markets, but according to Frericks, a typical salesperson makes around $60,000 per year, including $20,000 in variable pay, which depends largely on commission....

...An anonymous supervisor from a Florida-based distributor told the outlet that the average salesperson made about $2,000 less in the month of May than they normally would have over based on figures from the last handful several years. Numbers are suffering primarily due to a decline in Bud Light sales that reached as high as a 60 percent drop off over the week that ended on Memorial Day. ...'This situation has impacted our people and especially our frontline workers: The delivery drivers, sales representatives, our wholesalers, Bud owners and servers...These people are the fabric of our business. They are our neighbors, family members, and friends. They are in every community in America. We've been doing everything we can to support our teams.'

...The campaign was the brainchild of Alissa Heinerscheid, vice president of marketing for Bud Light, who was placed on leave soon after the incident. Her boss, Daniel Blake, Budweiser's group vice president for marketing, was also removed from his role in the backlash.....The data - showing that US sales of Bud Light are dropping by as much as 20 percent each week - is being uniformly viewed by industry experts as a negative trend that may not reverse itself anytime soon...Beer Business Daily editor Harry Schuhmacher told Fox News Digital that the 'whole industry is in shock...Even Bud's competitors aren't really dancing on the grave because they know it could have happened to them.'

Good. We need more people to speak up with their wallets. Fock Bud Light. It shouldn't even be a story anymore. Don't buy their goods, move on. Let them be a footnote in history and a lesson to other companies.

Even Bud's competitors aren't really dancing on the grave because they know it could have happened to them.'

Bud Light is co-sponsoring an 'all-ages' drag show party: 'Safe space' 'family festival event'

....Despite tumbling sales and negative press coverage as a result of its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Bud Light is reportedly co-sponsoring an "all-ages Pride event" in Flagstaff, Arizona, according to the Flagstaff Pride website.  The party, which is called "Pride in the Pines" and includes drag queens and other performers, lists Bud Light as one of the companies sponsoring the June 17 event. (Bud Light is mentioned prominently in one of the posters.) The event is listed as a "family festival event" and a family-friendly, "safe space" for all visitors.

Other big-name companies sponsoring the all-ages event for Pride Month include Old Navy, Toyota and Coca-Cola USA, according to an event flyer....Multiple pictures on the site include photos of infants, young children and adults smiling and laughing with drag performers....Drag events aimed at families and young children are taking place all over the country. In West Hollywood, California, a "family-friendly" Pride parade included men depicting a graphic BDSM sexual acts in videos that later went viral online. On Twitter, feminist outlet the Reduxx shared one graphic video from the parade where a nearly nude man was choked and whipped by another man in bondage gear.

A Pride festival in Dallas featured sexually explicit merchandise for sale, including sex toys and graphic Disney fan art, according to another video widely shared online. The camera pans to show a little girl viewing a rack of button pins that have references to sexual positions and phrases like "send nudes." The member of the "queer nun group" appears to hand a rainbow button to another child.....Amusement park franchise Six Flags announced drag show performances at several of its amusement park locations this year in honor of Pride Month, including in Texas, New Jersey and Missouri.

If the company were to simply stop the pandering to the mentally ill trannies and apologize profusely they could likely recover completely.  Sure they would lose the tranny market, but so what? At least they could get back the majority of people they lost.

But of course not, the bullies within liberal circles would likely sick the DOJ on them of the failed to submit.

I think its funny only in so far as they continue to get hit, but just keep taking it....they would rather lose money than face down the militant leftists.

Sucks for the employee's, they dont deserve to suffer because their company leadership are spineless morons.

This Tranny stuff is a big win for conservatives. Have to keep pushing back and keeping the spotlight on it, especially the mutilation of children. Negates the abortion stuff, and is probably a net positive.

Bud Light dethroned, loses title as America’s top-selling beer

.....Bud Light is no longer the bestselling beer in the nation as the Anheuser-Busch-owned brand suffers the consequences of a boycott that was called in the wake of its marketing partnership with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.....Modelo Especial, the Mexican lager, was the most popular beer brand in the country during May, according to data compiled by consulting firm Bump Williams.....In the four weeks that ended June 3, the Modelo brand represented 8.4% of retail beer sales, according to data cited by The Wall Street Journal....

....In the week that ended on June 3, sales of Bud Light were down 24.4% compared to the same week a year ago, according to Bump Williams. According to research firm Circana, sales of Bud Light fell by 23% year-over-year in May to $297.3 million while rival lager Modelo Especial was catapulted to the top spot, generating $333.1 million — a 15% increase year-over-year.....

The company’s market capitalization has fallen by nearly $20 billion during that period....

Anheuser-Busch Releases ‘We Hear You’ Statement Over Bud Light Backlash: ‘Beer Is For Everyone’

.....Anheuser-Busch released a statement on Friday in response to the backlash that the company triggered earlier this year when one of its brands...Sales for Bud Light have fallen by more than 25% and its competitors have since seen a large increase in their sales. ....Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth appeared to acknowledge with his most recent statement that the backlash the company is facing is having a significant impact at the company....“We recognize that over the last two months, the discussion surrounding our company and Bud Light has moved away from beer, and this has impacted our consumers, our business partners, and our employees,” the statement began. “We are a beer company, and beer is for everyone.”...

....He said that the company was “announcing three important actions as we continue to move our business forward” in light of the backlash....“First, we are investing to protect the jobs of our frontline employees,” he said. “Second, we are providing financial assistance to our independent wholesalers to help them support their employees.”...Whitworth said in his final point, which was addressed to the company’s “valued consumers,” that the company “hears you.”....

Anheuser-Busch CEO says his company will continue to support the LGBTQ community

....Anheuser-Busch InBev will continue to support the LGBTQ community despite backlash over a Bud Light advertising campaign featuring a transgender influencer that has simmered for nearly three months, CEO Brendan Whitworth said ....."I think the conversation surrounding Bud Light has moved away from beer, and the conversation has become divisive....And Bud Light really doesn’t belong there."

.....“There’s a big social conversation taking place right now, and big brands are right in the middle of it and it’s not just our industry or Bud Light," he said. "It’s happening in retail, happening in fast food.....And so for us what we need to understand — deeply understand and appreciate — is the consumer and what they want, what they care about and what they expect from big brands.....”

Bud Light lost its top spot in the U.S. beer market to Modelo last month, as sales lagged following the uproar over its partnership with Mulvaney.

Influencer Dylan Mulvaney condemns Bud Light’s response to transphobia

.....Dylan Mulvaney has spoken out against Bud Light, criticizing the brand for not supporting her amid transphobic backlash to an advertisement featuring the influencer.....In a TikTok video captioned “Trans people like beer, too”, Mulvaney, who is trans, called out Bud Light for largely abandoning her after she was bullied for posting a sponsored video to Instagram with the beer brand.....“For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse, in my opinion, than not hiring a trans person at all,” said Mulvaney, adding that the lack of condemnation allowed “customers to be as hateful and transphobic as they want”.....

.....Mulvaney said that after posting the advertisement for Bud Light, she faced “more bullying and transphobia than I could have ever imagined”.....Mulvaney said she wanted to make a video explaining her feelings on the situation months ago, but didn’t, fearing more anti-trans backlash.....“I patiently waited for things to get better,” she said. “But surprise: they haven’t, really.”....Mulvaney said that amid the bullying, the company never contacted her. “For months now, I have been scared to leave my house. I have been ridiculed in public. I have been followed, and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone....”

You guys and your transphobia make me laugh. Perhaps you should take the time to know and understand a trans woman before you pass down judgment from your moral high ground. I read the thread about transgenderism being a mental illness, but I don't have an issue with it being seen from a mental-health perspective.

This isn't the case with me, but many trans women were abused as children, grew up in a state of fear and confusion and have had quite an uphill battle in life. My parents were great and understanding. They kind of knew early on that something was different about me.

People are who they are based on their biology and the chemicals flowing around in them. This is why medication can ease anxiety, depression and other issues. I suppose I could take testosterone to kept the trans woman in me in check, but I'm happy with who I am, a successful white-colar professional born with a twig and berries but identifies as a woman.

And, lol, I have no desire to turn your kids into transgender people or go down to the library to read during children's story hour. I think some within the transgender community pick the wrong hills upon which to plant their flags.

The real power is through making the world a better place - philanthropically, professionally, politically, economically, etc.

You don't like us because you don't know us. There are good and bad elements with us, and it's no different than anyone else, straight white men included.

And what do you mean by "nutjobs gone?"

As in rounded up and executed?

You sound pretty transphobic to me, if what you'd like to see is extermination of the LGBT community.

It's not going away, so perhaps you should approach it from a position other than violence and hatred.

Give us a chance. We certainly have given people like you a chance.

Is it mental illness that you identify yourself as a male?

Mental illness does run rampant in the LGBT community, and outside factors during childhood and beyond impact that. For some, life feels like a never-ending episode of "Black Mirror."

I've had my share of brushes with mental illness, but I'm blessed and grateful, a white-collar business professional who works in management in a large corporation. My partner and I have two adopted children, one of them special needs, and are in the pipeline for adopting a third child. I serve on several non-profit boards, and my partner and I donate to a variety of causes and volunteer in the community, all in the name of making the world a better place.

You should open your mind to a broader perspective.

I am not entirely surprised that this time people are finally standing up for their values.

It’s a rather sustained response and appears to have some impact as well.

These companies do not care about me, or you, or anyone else. This is just their move to piggy back on to something to sell a product.

They will be fine, so let’s not worry about them. What I find interesting is that people are seemingly standing up to what has been a rather successful bulllying action from leftists.

I take heart in that

You've underscored my point. I was born a woman. I am a woman. Just because the parts don't match in the traditional sense of your paradigm doesn't make me anything other than that. It's what I am, and it's complicated.

I felt confusion and shame my entire childhood until I accepted who I am. I'm not mentally ill. I'm not depraved. I'm not immoral.

Also, I love fantasy football and have been in a great league for a long time, and I've won it a few times, so at least we have that in common, although my league went to a keeper format this year, so I'm at a loss to figure out which player to keep.

I'm fit, gorgeous, healthy, successful and mentally tough. I'm proud of who I am as a person, but I'm also humble, empathetic, grateful and feel blessed.

I'm a good person and want to make our world a better place.

These are some of the most egregious excesses that led to a backlash.

for many years, there was a respectable and sympathetic position that shifted softly from "we just want to be left alone" to "we don't want to be discriminated against" to "we just want to have the same rights as everybody else."

It was just eleven years ago when the likes of Barack Obama and Joe Biden campaigned in opposition to gay marriage during the 2012 election. I think once the Obergefell decision came down, consolidating wins and spreading goodwill might have helped society adapt.

Instead there was this massive over-reach that continued starting slowly, bullying the baker into baking the cake or forcing Catholic adoption agencies to award kids to gay couples, or expecting heterosexual men to date transgender women.

Now it's at the point where transgenders are forcing their way into women's sports, their locker rooms and bathrooms, the chemical castration of children even against their parent's will, the raping inmates in female prisons, entering sororities, drag queens twerking in schools, groomer books and LGBTQ activists in elementary schools and kindergartens, enforced speech with incorrect pronoun usage, the cultural takeover of institutions great and small around the country and world, a political barrage hijacking of the June into a holy religious month, and the pride progress flag given the honorary position at the White House flanked in the subordinate position by USA flags.

People are sick of it, there's a backlash, and that's where we are now. If it were just you doing your thing that'd be one thing, but when men of you're ilk are invading womens' spaces and are expecting everyone else to comply with their wishes, it causes problems. Same with targeting kids.

Also you're right I personally don't know any transgender people. I've seen very manish looking women around that make me wonder but I don't feel inclined to strike up a conversation.

You guys know that that's rusty, right?

Rusty has many aliases, I don't know that any attempt to make constructive, thoughtful posts or demonstrate civil manners.

I'll keep the warning in mind, but just this week, trusting you initially that the racist liberal chick on twitter was a bot proved wrong.

And Erica marsh was not proved not to be a bot.

Curious.....will the alphabet folks protest in this instance be called out as them being weak or "wrong"?  Or is it only those who do not support their movement who are "wrong"?

It's true that we don't get many new people and so your warning that Francis is likely an alias is well taken. Maybe the person behind Francie is just playing as a trannie. but then if someone here is a trannie, but doesn't want it known and wants it generally known and still wants to take a run at a decent conversation on the topic, I'm game.

Regarding Erica Marsh, as what happens with you  with great frequently, you make an ignorant posts based on a superficial 30 second scan of something you read online that you thinks supports your position and then make a fool of yourself by looking like a moron to those of that have a clue. At least we've gone from "a bot" to "not proven to not be a bot" so that's progress, I guess.

This is a great alias

There is a 0% chance that Francie football is a real transgender person new to this board.  There is a 1% chance Erica marsh is a real "proud Democrat"

I find this statement mostly true.
