Key West is ok, but, a whole month?    You can see and do the whole thing in 2-3 days.  There is only one half way decent beach to hang out on.  The entire length of Duval is walkable.  A lot of fishing I guess.  I'd pick a lot better place than foking Key West if it was more than a week.

We hooked it onto a wedding so we'd have been there a week regardless.  Renting the place for the month made sense and there's tons to do there.  Ft Zach beach, snorkeling trips, fishing trips, music everywhere, great food, boating, all the other keys to go to. 

Plus our place was nice AF.  Coming back home to my little 1950's rancher was a bit of a shock...

Gonna try to make this an annual thing, spending a month in different parts of the country.  Thinking Arizona next year.  Maybe SoCal.

It's a small resort town/tourist trap.  It's good for fishing and Duval street is a poor man's version of Bourbon Street.  It's pretty lame compared to destinations in the Caribbean just a hop skip and jump away.  I mean you'd have a ton more fun hanging out at South Beach and you wouldn't have to make that drive.  It's something you do once and never again.  Waist of time spending more than a day or two.
