I live in a densely populated area and I don’t mind paying taxes to support other people or to improve things.

Government is a blunt instrument and when there is waste I hope they get it out as fast as possible but I don’t see other avenues for things to get addressed.

When you do your taxes you should figure out what you owe, then pay 3 or 4 times that if you don't mind.  But you don't, you pay as little as possible just like everyone else.  So save the ignorant don't mind paying taxes excuse.

47 here, probably on the young side for these boards.  

This is me as well.  I lean 3rd party when voting, as a whole but state and locally vote for all 3.  I don't understand how people can vote 100% for one party or another. 

The distinction for me is that while I agree with the right on many things, it's often not things at the top of mind when voting- culture war stuff, for example. Especially for larger office like PotUS. Also, while I agree with many policies, my general outlook doesn't match with the right.
