Under a new rate plan approved by the state Public Service Commission, residential electric customers using 600 kilowatts an hour per month will see an increase in monthly bills over the next three years.

Thanks.   Now I don't have to look it up, but, I knew it was mandatory in lots of places.  

Some of these cities have inspectors and issue fines and at the end of the day, when the recycling companies are full and China doesn't want it, it still ends up in the landfill.

People absolutely would stay home. People reported on their neighbors for having family over. I got into a few arguments with people wearing face diapers. Add in the government using force as they did with covid. It's very probable they would stay home. 

Speaking of tracking chips did you know in some areas you were forced to use an app that proved you were at home? People keep their tracking chips in their pockets. You seem like the kind of person who would do what they are told.
