They don't hate them per se, but they don't like them, they don't think much of them, and they certainly don't want them in their neighborhoods.  I lived 4 years in super libby Boston, and I guarantee you they are not welcoming them into the rich white suburbs.  They pay lots of taxes to confine them to places like Roxbury.  

I've said multiple times here that there is a part of them that looks at videos like @League Championposts and think, "those poor black people, they just can't help themselves, it's not their fault, I feel bad, let's give them some more stuff."  It's as if they took W's "soft bigotry of low expectations" and turned it into a how-to manual.

I think it was @RLLD who pointed out the striking similarities between the Fascists of WWII and the Democrats of today.  Fascism is not only right-wing, it's left-wing as well.  Except the left likes to pretend that "left-wing authoritarianism" is something different and sounds nicer, which it really isn't.  In fact, left-wing ideology has killed more people worldwide than right-wing ideologies have.  And it's not even close.  The body counts of Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol-pot and the Uns of North Korea just in the 20th century alone dwarfs anything the right has done throughout history. 

Even the three Black Plague epidemics in history I don't think killed as many people.  Think about that.

In 2016, the DNC and DCCC got their lunch handed to them by Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway and Mark Burnett in the shadows. How do you let that happen?  All are talented, but none were highly established professional political operatives. 

Mark Penn was a Clinton strategist in 2015. He was fired for saying that Clinton desperately needed to start doing things to appeal to working class voters. That the huge financial warchest amassed couldn't bowl over the disenfranchised. Penn was dumped for basic common sense. Clinton snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. She literally had all the horses on her side and she was later found to be doing home cooking with the false Russia Gate, right after rigging the primaries against Bernie Sanders. 

Jaime Harrison of DNC HQ spend MILLIONS to come up with the slogan - Democrats Deliver. 

That's it. That's all he had. His idea was that whenever Team Blue was faced with criticism, they should, by default, say that "Democrats Deliver"
