You and I will not agree on the validity of the Trump impeachments; that's been established. But to think the DOJ is acting strictly in a political capacity WRT Trump’s various legal entanglements is farcical. And there is ZERO chance that your hyperpartisan compadres in the GC wouldn't be losing their collective minds if a Democratic POTUS had done half the shlt Trump has, and continues to do. And I fully expect the whole situation to spiral uncontrollably if we are stupid enough as a nation to re-elect the most divisive person in US history. Trump has not been secretive about his intentions to bring the entire government under his direct control.

It's interesting that when the Left is confronted with the Democrat party being the party of slavery and Jim Crow, they are quick to point out that things have changed.

Yet when they are confronted with the fascism prevalent in their party, their reaction is "unpossible: that can never change and it is always and forever Republicans."

I think you are getting off point with this, which is fine. I don't think Trump is being gagged related to the election. As I said, some might have some vendetta, but I am ok with the indictments in general. And this crap he is spewing deserves the gag order.

According to the pinhead authoritarian 'leftist' who write Political Science 101.  The true political spectrum is from totalitarianism to libertarianism.   The left-right dichotomy is meaningless.   The method to obtain totalitarianism power is rather meaningless to the outcome.  It can be through rhetoric from class welfare, religion, racism, nationalism or it could even be just through brut power.  

The modern leftist or more accurately, authoritarian bastards are creative and it gained its power through the CIA and other federal agencies using propaganda and slowly gaining power and authority over the decades. A lot of powerful and mega-wealthy corporate interests (military, oil, food and now pharma and tech) used the CIA to facilitate dozens of foreign political assassinations to put puppets in charge that they could control through foreign aid and with out military.  These puppet leaders would create lucrative deals for US corporate interests.  

At the same time, the FBI and CIA also turned attention to mind control and blackmailing domestically, infiltrating Hollywood, news media and universities to create a powerful web of propaganda.  It started out using a lot of nationalistic/anti-Communisism rhetoric at first, but has morphed into a globalist movement touting anti-racism and equity rhetoric.  But the movement is the same.  Empower the central government, control the education/media/entertainment to control the minds of the people.  They have constantly beat the drumbeat of wars for the last 70 years.  We have had a massive expansion of federal power.  The entertainment, internet, education, news media all speak with a uniform message manipulating public opinion to advance their elitist agenda of power and wealth.  

You believe you are on the side of anti-fascism, economic equity, anti-racism...but the masses have largely just become useful idiots promoting the march to totalitarian vision usurping all the freedoms which were guaranteed in the Constitution.   

The real political spectrum is between individual freedom and totalitarianism.   The stuff they teach in political science 101 is manipulative garbage to confuse the masses.  There is no clear meaning of left or right or what Republicans or Democrats stand for.  The corporate-government interests have an iron grip on the Democratic party, some of the Republican party, and most all of the three letter federal agencies. It will be extremely difficult to change our course.  No matter who is in power, we keep marching towards centralized authoritarianism with powerful corporations advancing their interests.   What is basically a fascist state.  

The real question is are you for freedom or are you for authoritarianism/fascism?
