It's weird.  I've seen a lot of games and how fan bases represent, and this isn't a good turnout for the Yankees.

Dude, put away your phone and watch the game…. There is absolutely no need to be posting while at a playoff game…

I'm loving these playoffs -- I don't know if it's because the DBacks were in it until the last game of the season, but I'm tuned into these games.

Also, for the above folks -- the WS winner comes out of the NL.  The AL teams are all pretenders.

Ninth inning for the Philthies to get 3, or else they are done.

My Tigers took care of business today.

Going tomorrow. Ive never been to any pro sports game where my team clinched something.  Indians have their ace up tomorrow so might be tough...but man it would rock if the Tigers got it done

Even then I would still keep the phone away and enjoy the atmosphere…. But that’s just me as I don’t need to have my cellphone out all the time…

Lindor is just a beast. Class act. Love how he handles himself.

Pulling for the Mets on the NL side. Will take anyone on AL. For storyline and watching on TV Yankees would be great. But Detroit, KC are fine too.

I know that it will be unanimous, but if I had a vote I would vote for Lindor as NL MVP…. When he got going this season, he turned the Mets season completely around and got them into the playoffs…. The Dodgers still make the playoffs even without Ohtani…

As you know, the votes are already in.  And 50-50 for Ohtani... I don't even know how to process that.

Lindor wins the non-Ohtani MVP, that's still quite an accomplishment.

He really has been so good since he started off so badly. Have him on my magic baseball team and was so pissed for taking him over Gunnar but man what a turn around and so clutch.

Still giving MVP to Shohei, but Lindor has been the such a stud and he’s entering Mets lore.

Judge has sucked in the post season, but he got robbed on that check swing call.

I have to explain to my drunk friends in the right field bleachers he was called out on an appeal to first.  And the guy behind me.

Also pulling for the Mets and I happen to like Lindor.  Not sure if he is a class act or not... I think he's a passionate dude and things are going well and he is happy.   But it wasn't that long ago that one of the bigger Mets stories was the friction between him and Jeff McNeil.  Few seasons ago under Buck, I believe.

not saying he isn't an overall good guy though.

If the Mets play the Dodgers, I will probably root for the Mets…. However I am hoping the Padres make the Series…

I live in NY, Yankee fan supreme. Been fighting with Met fans since Felix Milan was playing second base. The Mets own the town now.

its been a long time since I even cared about the Yankees failing. It used to bring me a bit of pleasure poking fun at friends.  I think when so many years of trying to buy a title come and go, it's kind of like "meh, whatever".  The Red Sox spanking them for a few years also took away a lot of the aura.

the most annoying thing about the Yanks lately is having to hear people cry Boone or Cashman.

I think they beat the Royals and I am interested to see what happens next round. When the playoffs began, I felt their biggest challenge would be Cleveland. If Detroit advances, are they hot enough to beat the Yanks?

Obviously i'm pulling for the Mets and I really don't want a subway series

The way he has handled himself this season and the interviews I have watched he’s been really great.

Love how his act after these absolute brass ball bombs he has hit past couple weeks - gently place you bat aside, a quick jog around the bases, head down. Barry Sanders TD celebration comes to mind.

I don’t mind players going nuts either but this is much cooler.

Why can’t we complain about Boone and Cashman? Weird.

I said it was the most annoying thing about the team/fans these days,  not that you couldn't do it :dunno:

meaning it's replaced the smugness of winning or throwing around all the $.

Congrats Yankees.

I never would have imagined I would be back at the K for a couple games in October, and this team exceeded all my expectations.   Still disappointing when it ends in a loss, but lots of optimism going forward with the key pieces still in tact.  What a fun year for baseball.

Welp...Tigers gotta go back to Cleveland to try and finish this thing off.  I said from the beginning I will not be disappointed in them if this ends in the ALDS.  They exceeded all expectations this year and have been a damn fun team to watch the last couple months.

Got Skubal pitching Saturday so there's a chance!
