Yes the law backfired in Georgia because it pissed off black voters. I fear that was a short term result but we’ll see. The law was designed to curtail minority voting in a formerly red state that was becoming purple. Thats why I complained about it and I was correct to do so. Once again you’re totally wrong. It’s really embarrassing that you’re wrong so often and yet spend so much time calling out others.

ROFLMAO.  YOU said that the laws were enacted in "heavily minority areas."  That's not true.  Entire states are generally not "heavily minority areas" especially considering AA's make up like 13% of the U.S. population.  You're AGAIN caught in a lie.  It's amazing how indignant you always are when constantly caught just pulling sh*t out of your a$$.

BTW, I tried to look at your study.  It's not freely available so I can't read it.  Are you a member of the U of Chicago press journals website?   I doubt it.  Which means you almost definitely have not actually read the actual study.  You probably just googled for studies and found this one that supposedly supports your stance.  However, without reading it there is no way to know if the abstract is actually worthy.  Heck, I can't even tell when this "study" was done by the abstract.  This explains why when people asked you to summarize it you refused to do so.  Has anyone else here been able to actually read the study Tim linked?

Seems unlikely for those of us paying attention.

Even Rob Manfred and MLB have backed up on the GA stance because the numbers were irrefutable.  They can't come out and flatly say they were wrong, but have done it through their actions of placing the MLB All Star Game right back in Atlanta.  Nothing has changed other than the turnout numbers show that initial stance was incorrect.

Lololol. Damn you can go on with the nonsense,

1. The Republicans in Georgia passed that stupid law knowing it would target heavily minority areas. What I wrote was 100% accurate.

2. Yes I read the abstract. It’s printed in lots of places. If you’re interested go look. I’m betting you’re not. I’m not gonna do it for you, I have football to watch. There are also plenty of other studies that say the same thing. Plus common sense for anyone that isn’t a moron. But that might exclude you.

So blacks couldn't vote in Georgia?

They were correct about the intent of the law. Happily the intent failed.

So was MLB right then or right now?  It can't be both.  This reminds me of the fans who are so invested in their teams they insist they have the better team even though they lost a game 35-7.  The numbers show what happened, yet it's like the data doesn't exist to some.  We have the same voter ID laws here, there is no danger of a D winning statewide here barring someone being a pedophile essentially.  It doesn't bother me to show my license and is a very simple process.

They were wrong then. It was a bad law and MLB was correct about the intent of the law. But they were wrong to move the game. Why punish the good people of Atlanta? They didn’t write the law. I’m not a big fan of boycotts in general. They almost never work.

And there you have it folks. As usual, with Tim, it’s all about his perceptions and feelers, not objective truth.  He’s proven to be a joke once again. But, he knows this and will readily admit it.

I’m making an argument. This particular issue is not one in which “objective truth” applies. Still, it should be obvious to most people what the purpose of these laws are. If you could produce significant voter fraud then I might agree with you that these laws are about that and necessary. But since it’s been conclusively shown that voter fraud doesn’t really exist in the USA, the stated reasons of Republicans for enacting these rules is clearly fraudulent. My conclusions are based on that fact alone; the studies are only the logical result.

So waiting in line to vote and show ID is unfair to black ppl?  Is there a whites only fast pass voting line that doesn't require ID?

If not then white folks also have to wait in the same focking lines.

It’s OK Tim.  You’re cut from the same same cloth as many lefties. You’re not alone. Your self perception of being morally right overrides the necessity of being factually correct.  AOC even said this about herself.  You’re in good company.

Of course I like to think I’m morally right. Don’t you? But I’m never sure about it, I’m always reconsidering my opinions. And I’m nothing like AOC.

Tim, Kentucky has Voter ID.  What was their goal by enacting that law?  Is there no study of voter disenfranchisement in a state that’s  over 80 white, as poor as any black neighborhood, and even MORE remote from the resources to obtain IDs?

Did you even read my post?  I know you read the abstract.  My point is you didn't read the actual study, did you?  A simple yes I read the study or no I did not read the study will suffice on that question.  We both read the abstract.  Apparently neither of us read the ACTUAL study, which is what matters.  What would make you think that the one short paragraph abstract would be compelling?  Are you one of those people who got through school using cliff notes?

And since we're talking about reading ONLY the abstract, the following is from it:

Quote

existing studies have uncovered few effects

Wow, sure sounds like voter ID hasn't affected AA's at all.  See what happens when you use incomplete, summary information?  Do you have a link to the actual study that isn't paywalled or not?

I mean that the record turnout was an emotional result to an unjust law. But in the long run, making these folks go through hoops and wait in long lines will do what it’ was designed to: reduce their numbers at the ballot box.

except it didn't regardless of your irrational excuses made up by you & you alone.

congrats.

Let’s hope it doesn’t. But I know what the intent was.

WTF do you mean "you know what the intent was"? GTFO.  Divining "motivation" and "intent" aren't even allowed in a court of law.

You know what you're told to believe and you'll believe it even in the face of irrefutable evidence (which was provided).  You're no better than Squiztard or Miss Cleo in that respect.

A suspect has been arrested at the Colorado Supreme Court building after allegedly shooting out windows, holding an armed security guard at gunpoint and maneuvering about the building for nearly two hours until voluntarily surrendering early Tuesday, according to authorities.

The timing comes soon after the state's high court drew controversy by ruling that former President Trump should be removed from the 2024 GOP primary ballot. Colorado State Patrol said in a statement that preliminary investigations "confirmed a high probability the incident… is NOT associated to the recent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court Justices."

Sure it's not 🤣🤣🤣
