Connecticut teacher sues after being disciplined for criticizing 'identity, privilege' training

A Connecticut teacher is suing Hartford Public Schools for allegedly violating his First Amendment rights after he disagreed with an "Identity and Privilege" training.

John Grande claimed in a federal lawsuit that Hartford school officials "fabricated" evidence during a "witch hunt" investigation against him after he disagreed with the training. The Hartford Public Schools district implemented the training in 2020 titled "Identity and Privilege" via Zoom as mandatory professional development. 

Grande was a gym teacher for the school system for over 30 years.

"I was targeted for punishment by school district administrators because I refused to endorse their agenda to push critical race theory on teachers," said Grande, who is filing the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

I agree, no religion should be allowed in schools, no muslim crap, Buddhist crap, no catholic crap, no hendu crap, no girls are boys, and boys are girls crap , but praying to the one true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a very good thing, and bible study and prayers to the one true God shouldn’t only be allowed back into schools, I hope they make it a must, if Trump wins he’s going to do just that.  I hope.

Fun Fact: Kids are still allowed to pray in school if they do it on their own time. What was struck down by SCOTUS was school lead prayers that students were at a teacher's direction and that they were required to participate in.

No not in all schools, many schools don’t allow it, many kids hold their own prayer groups, that have been mandated that they stop, why because the unrighteousness of parents like yourself don’t want it to take place.

I agree. Maybe I misunderstood. My parents gave me a choice of high schools. Proviso West in Illinois or a private school. I went private as I knew a lot of bad about the public school. Plus, I liked what I heard about the strict teachers at the private school. I had 2 older brothers kicked out of that school for discipline reasons. 

So I figured I was already religeous and wanted to follow the responsible path of being held accountable in life. So...I'm in the same ballpark as you.
