It's a wide-open opportunity for trannies and illegal immigrants to gain more traction in our amazing country.

Michelle Obama would be the 1.01 pick in a Tranny Draft. 😂

Starts today.  Some say it's a tryout for slaves of rich white men.

What say you?

Silly.  It is meritocracy at its finest.  It is a chance for these young men, who have busted their asses their entire lives, to exhibit their physical and mental skills to achieve a position with money and prestige that few will ever achieve.

I think I just hit on why the Left doesn't like it -- they hate meritocracies.

I agree.  I suppose we should disband pro sports.

I saw Marvin Harrison Jr won't be attending.  Makes sense if you're a top 5 top 10 pick anyway.

I don't like it especially when a potential injury is the excuse.

Yeah, he's locked in at WR1 IMO.

Missed it... was listening/(occasionally), watching the Pirates/Blue Jays game.  More entertaining. :dunno:

He has nothing to prove and Combine is for lesser known names to make a case for themselves. Not playing in a bowl game is another issue.

He can't help himself at all.  He's already being dubbed some legendary prospect.  What's the point of showing up to the combine?

In fact people might figure out that he's not as good as Nabers if he participates.

Why?

The reason they don’t is because they feel their stock could go down.  That’s a sign of a pvssie.

Maybe.  You go ahead and keep it real.  I'd probably try to maximize my earnings by trying to optimize my draft position.

Wouldn't they find out he's a puss when he goes to the combine anyway?

By the way, he actually might really be a puss.  If you watch him play.  He always seems to just go down to avoid getting hurt.

I don't like them sitting out bowl games but this I'm fine with since it doesn't hurt the team.

If it close between 2 players I’d take the one who showed.

I appreciate the old school stance.  Yeah itd be cool to find an ultra stud 21 year old who will go out and compete esch chance he gets.  But that's just a bit over the top.

The combine hardly means anything for the 1st round.   Then they all have pro days anyway.

When you go to a job interview and perform well knowing this was your job all along.. are you going to sit there and spill the beans and babble on more than they ask for at that point?

If a guy is deemed a stud and top pick but he knows he doesn't run a 40 too well, why would he come display it?  How can he come out and perform a 40 any faster than he is?

Good point. It only hurts or helps them.  Not a team.

You are right.  It’s an old school stance which isn’t the way today.  👍

HOFer Bill Polian was on NFL radio today talking about how players get so out of "football" shape because of their preparing for the combine that they have to work for many months, properly, to get back into playing football else many lingering injuries start coming up. Soft tissue, etc. .

But he mentioned the combine is great for 2 things.

#1 Medicals. The whole structure of the combine, logistically, in Indianappolis, revolves around this. Every year they uncover things like heart issues and other underlying problems.

#2 Simple metrics. Height, weight speed etc...

And more then a few NFL coaches will fall in love with some of the players freakish measurements and times, then draft the players way to early.

That's true, but metrics are more of a draft slotting game. I heard another guy say that the combine is great for assessing WRs, cornerbacks, and TEs, but it's impossible to set up drills to effectively evaluate linebackers and interior defensive linemen. There's no possible way to test their in game  instincts on the field through drills.

The football combine is meaningless and I refuse to pay any attention to it. Life is too short.
