European leaders have only recently woken up to the threat Hungary poses; the European Parliament voted on Tuesday to label Orbán’s government a “systemic threat to the rule of law.” But this is likely too little, too late: Orbán has consolidated his power, and the opposition is too weak and divided to pose a major threat in the foreseeable future.

 

Now this sounds like far left Europe is concerned their communist way of governing could have the tide turning a bit to the right. Authoritarianism sure sounds like it's actually most countries in Europe EXCEPT Hungary.

Just last week, timschotel, who has been reading those same stories about Hungary, told us that Hungary puts all (hisword) it's opposition leaders and journalists in jail.
