Interesting polling regarding this trial:

As I mentioned above, only conservatives believe this is a sham trial with Trump as a victim. The majority of Americans, 52%, thinks it’s serious and that he’s probably guilty. That number represents both liberals and independents. 

The polling also suggests the outcome here won’t affect anyone’s vote in November; attitudes about Trump are locked in already. Personally I’m not so sure about this. We’ve never had a Presidential candidate that was a convicted felon before. This is uncharted waters for this country. Attitudes could change overnight. And frankly I’m hoping they will.

The underlying charge is a misdemeanor, but the SOL expired on that so they manipulated it into a federal charge even though federal prosecutors declined the case.

Those were at the federal level, done by the Feds.  This is the state doing it despite the Feds saying there isn't enough to charge him on.  This is 100% political.  Stop making excuses for your partisan bias.
