Agree.   If he can withstand the lying about him from Biden and CNN, and the disparity in conduct....and lets face it....could any of us stand up there and not want to punch them all in the face?

But HE must ask the questions that CNN will avoid, he has to save 15 seconds at the end of his time for this.....its the best way to negate the CNN efforts to tilt this toward Biden

Trump has a much better chance of winning this debate, that is why the Democrats created the rules, they sought the protections and got them......that was out of fear.....and Trump accepted......without fear....

I don't understand why Trump would concede to Team Biden's demands to turn this into... whatever it is, it's not a debate.  IMO Trump should concede to the earlier date but push back on the partisan MSM moderators, empty room, and mic silencing that will turn this into note-reading exercise.

Biden can say I have gotten legislation through Congress no one else has. Bringing microchip manufacturing to the US. Unemployment is not an issue, near all-time lows. Our economy has performed well coming out of pandemic. We have strengthened NATO and our relationship with allies in Europe and with Japan and South Korea in the Pacific. Strengthened workers rights and am pro-union. Loosened marijuana restrictions for all you pot heads.

The other guy wants to take away ACA and replace with something he can’t explain or is a “secret plan”. The other guy boasts about taking away health choices from your daughters. The other guy refuses to admit he lost the last election, in a landslide using his terms, but lives in a bizzaro world of his own making where he actually won. It’s chaos and grievances every day. 

Now I’m not sure Biden can spit all this out. Trump for his part is a sloppy mess as well. Not expecting much out of these but they are good TV for political nerds.

I strongly disagree with you about the mic thing.  Debates have become unwatchable because all the candidates do is  yell back and forth at each other and/or go way over their allotted time.  Just because you can't speak over your opponent doesn't mean it's just prepared statements.  You still have rebuttals and, if the debate is legit, you don't know in advance exactly which questions are even being asked.

Agreed and I'd also point out Biden has used that strategy himself in the past. He was much younger then but that’s partly how he destroyed Paul Ryan’s career in the VP debate — laughing at him and mocking him while Ryan was speaking

I’m not sure what’s wrong with prepared statements. I don’t need to see how quickly a President can think on his toes. I want to know what policy he and his team believe in, what they intend to do, if somebody is too scripted that will quickly he revealed.

I am not at all certain we see a debate....I think the way Biden did this.....was interesting, and I bet later he declines to debate and makes some BS assertion about Trump being a felon or some other lie.....

I just doubt Biden et al live up to this.....they will fabricate some excuse, and will keep using that excuse during the campaign to avoid speaking to their resounding failures and instead turn this thing into a "he is worse than I am" kind of campaign
