Correct. The DOJ has worked diligently to impede and delay, as they have for the Bidens in the past.  So no surprise. This is a big reason for the widespread fear among Democrats, they know very well that Trump will make it a point to route out the DOJ and force exposure of their crimes.

On a real note the polls that have come out since this weekend (some valid, some not- based solely on when they were taken and how the questions were asked) seem split on who has an advantage in Harris vs Trump. Some have Trump up, some have Harris up.

What is interesting is that in one poll RFK affects the polls against Harris, in another he affects the polls against Trump.

Regarding Kamala. You seem to have more faith than I do. It’s all roses at the moment and I certainly hope she can keep the momentum. Not sure she’s up to this personally. 

Right after Biden’s meltdown she was in an interview just after. She was asked some very pointed questions and her answers were very good. These speeches she has given recently have been decent. She should be able to make compelling arguments about abortion and probably most importantly she’s going against Trump.

She was never the “border czar”- that’s a term that Republicans came up with. She was put in charge of investigating the entire undocumented immigration situation- not making decisions but investigating it and coming up with proposals. What she came up with is that the entire system needs to be overhauled and that no amount of border security would solve the issue. She is correct about this. 
 

All the pollsters say this issue is her biggest weakness, but I think she can turn it right around on Trump. Not only did he instruct his guys in Congress to kill the proposed border bill, Trump’s stated solution (forcibly round up and deport 15 million people) is popular with the MAGA crowd built with nobody else.

They're accurate as to people's expectations, not necessarily representative of the polls of today.  Like I said when this all went down, I actually expect Harris to take a polling lead and then subside some.  Also, there's a difference in overall polling vs popular vote winner.  If you looked recently at popular vote odds, Trump/Republicans were around an 11:10 favorite, close to even money, but in essence a 3:2 or greater favorite in the electoral college. 

While it is true Kelly or Shapiro might help in one of their states, the problem is unless she gets GA back, she either has to win AZ or sweep all 3 of the rust belt states.  I don't think she will be foolish enough to take Cooper and try for NC.  Maybe she sets the world on fire and becomes the next Obama, but I don't see that yet.  There is definitely excitement behind her, but the excitement over her being named is the easy part, maintaining it is the heavier lift.  She's getting the "anybody but these two" bump for now.
