RBs going off the board much quicker in this draft than I had expected

Wow……guess we will see. Looks like I am “alone on the island”. I am thinking Cousins will improve his stats.

Cousins definitely will. Hence why he is a target of mine in the early 3rd (or late 2nd if needed). I just dont personally have him ranked that high overall... yet. But I am just in the beginning of my prep.  If i were in your draft spot I would either have to take him there or not have him because he wont last past mid 3rd.

I didn’t think it was a strange pick at all. I considered him at 2.02. London’s inconsistency due to subpar QB play is no different than what Garrett Wilson has experienced to date.

possibly. It's certainly a similar situation... you're probably right.  Even though Wilson has put up much better numbers with bad QB play (back to back thousand yard seasons and more receptions), he has also been peppered with many more targets due to scheme.

And admittedly I was drafting Wilson as early as that in 2023.

Robb (or anyone) please text me when I'm up. I'll be in a datacenter away from my laptop. Thanks all.

Hawkeye: powerful picks here at the turn. I think these are the picks that win you the June Mock.

I got my RB1 with McCaffrey so figured I could wait on RB2.  Decided to snag two WR1s on the turn.  Pretty happy with my start so far.  I have no idea what to expect for my next pick though.  Hate having to wait that long.

Again, it boils down to redzone usage.  7 TD's via the air and 5 TD's on the ground, with 1125 total yards, missing 2 games.  Fortunate he made it to me here.

I was really torn by this pick at this place, and in a "normal" format I would likely have sought to trade out of the spot.....

But in terms of the scoring system, it is likely that Allen is the most profitably pick at this time.  And I hate....hate...hate....drafting a QB early.

Really was curious where Harrison would go. The "don't draft a WR before their third year" rule is certainly a thing of the past, but I admit I'm hesitant to use a high pick on a rookie receiver.

I considered taking him but I just couldn't draft a QB that early.

Love the pick. He's going to be a target  monster. If Murray can just get him the ball, I look for top 8-10 production at the position.

I was challenged by this one to be sure.....

I fully expected a big WR run, but all of them were in the same range for me so I let you guys sort it out for me.  MHJ probably would have been the pick if he made it back.

I consider shying away from rookie WR's a clear thing of the past, especially when drafted into a situation with a competent QB.  JJ, Chase and Puka have made this clear. Even my boy Garrett, with terrible QB play. I will bank on the volume and red zone targets that should be there.

DK was also considered but ultimately, I feel like MHJ has the higher ceiling

So, Shovel went RB-RB-RB...this is much like Wonder's strategy last year.

Went back and forth between Jacobs and a WR. Kinda surprised to see myself with 2 RBs in the first three rounds, but with the way the draft fell, I'm comfortable with it.

Taking a chance on Achane, could be “boom or bust”, but at 3.09 I love his value here! In all honestly, and this is not a slam, I like his value better than some earlier RB picks. Mosteret is still there….but he is getting older by the year. Just my 2 cents.

interesting theory

Achane was my RB consideration at 3.4 but I ended up reasoning that I already had Hall and could build my RB depth later.   Or maybe last years approach of RB heavy and then failing to hit on any of my later receiver picks had some influence this time around.

I know everyone gets older each day….but my comment related to it especially takes its’s toll more so on older RBs, that “age 27 cliff”

Your decision made mine a little easier.  There were still a couple of WRs that I liked (a lot, honestly), but Achane and White intrigued me the most with their upside.

I love this pick.  Miami is a dynamic offense, and the kid is just going to get better.
