Spirit Airlines Is Ghey! 🌈

If you knew what I’ve gone through in the last 24 hours with this pos airline…. They are completely, hopelessly incompetent.  I can guarantee these clowns will be out of business within 2 years.

Yup.  Angry black lady at the counter along with a woman who spoke very little English and was completely clueless.

It always is. Hood rats who can barely talk are getting hired, even so.

I was set to fly out with Spirit this morning at 7:00.  Fockers canceled my reservation last night for no reason.  Did the same thing to 3 other passengers.  I called and was placed on hold for 2 hours before I hung up.  Travelocity tells me that it is impossible to get a live person to help you on the phone.  So I decide to go to the airport early to resolve it with a ticket agent.  Get there at 4:30 and wait 30 minutes at an empty counter.

At 5:00 the two ticket agents come strolling in, yawning incessantly.  It takes them 10 minutes to disinfect their workstations and log on.  Both are clueless and completely inept.  They get a supervisor on the line to handle the 4 mystery cancelations.  Angry black woman decides to let a family of 4 jump the line to be handled first.  Nice touch, seeing as I was there a half hour before them.  It takes 35 minutes just to straighten them out and get their ticket reinstated.  Now it’s 6:00 and I’m starting to wonder if my checked bag is going to make it on the plane.  Often times the cutoff is an hour before departure.  Angry black gets her Supervisor on the line again and it takes another 15 minutes or so before I finally get my boarding pass.  She checks my bag, swears to me it will get on the plane, then forgets to give me the bag receipt.  I realized it while going through security and had to go all the way back to the ticket counter to get it.  MF’ers.  If my bag doesn’t get there you may be seeing me on the news tonight.

Nice to see they are spending all their time on this Pride nonsense.  That’s clearly more important than, you know, getting people on the planes they paid for.

Jet Blue and Frontier have attempted mergers with Spirit in recent years but the Feds have blocked it.  Spirit can’t survive on their own much longer.

The one and only time I took Spirit I had a mostly hassle-free, great flight.  I upgraded to their best seats, though, too but the flight itself and the flight attendants were fantastic and no issues at the ticket counter at all.

The only issue I had was getting a refund back from them because they asked us to switch seats with a bunch of fat people who needed more space and they promised us a $250 refund on our tickets.  Same seats just one row up.  However, when I didn't get the refund after 5 days I called and was told they don't give refunds.  Had to battle it out and ultimately they still wouldn't give me the refund despite the lady at the ticket counter promising us.  She even gave me a receipt to showing what our refund would be and they still wouldn't budge telling me, "We don't care what our employee said to you. We don't give refunds".  Good thing I used Paypal to buy the tickets so I opened a dispute with Paypal and Spirit NEVER responded it so they ended up awarding the dispute in our favor and gave us our money back.

Of course, I realize that my experience is the anomaly here.  I've read all the reviews and realize that a miserable experience is typically what you get with Spirit.  There's a reason they have bad reviews.

hit and miss with them.

we have an airport here in Sonoma county. very bad reputation for spirit, but they fly out of our airport.  we have used them for some of our vegas trips. mostly ok for us. only have had one delay.

Flying can be a pretty miserable experience even under decent situations.

Spirit is not a good airline when there is trouble (few flights and they are a budget airline). If you booked through a site like Travelocity or Expedia it pushes you even further down the line.

GL!

Bad news for you all who get really bent out of shape by this stuff. I’m guess every airline does stuff like this.

After my miserable experience I made the mistake of answering their customer survey feedback request.  No lie - over 25 questions, many of them duplicative over what was asked earlier.  So I gave them feedback on that as well.  Focking idiots.

What are they celebrating? Mentally ill adults who are confused in their sexuality??

What are we doing here?? Why not celebrate people who identify as cats? Same damn thing.

This is so true.  I just went through the same hell with Comcast/Xfinity, where I couldn’t get a live person on the phone.  Seems like personal contact with a real human being has gone the way of the dinosaur.  The younger crowd seems completely content to take it up the arse without complaining one bit, so they’ll get exactly what they deserve.  Dumbasses don’t even know what they are missing.

I've never flown Spirit. The prices are low but the service, I heard, is terrible. Not worth it. I need to get to where I'm going on time and in comfort.

i've flown them 2-3 times to vegas, pre-covid.  hit and miss.  sometimes very smooth, sometimes delays.

I fly a lot and I don't think I've ever had a satisfactory flight on Spirit. It's always something, mostly delays baggage issues, etc.

I try to avoid them but sometimes it's all I can get 😢

Vegas is such a short trip… typically just a carry on.

one year I went out earlier than mrs and daughter. My flight was fine, but they had a delay with their evening flight
