Hawkeye21 2,382 Posted July 2, 2024 Stamp prices are outrageous. Starting July 14th they are increasing again to 73 cents. Not a big deal when mailing out one letter but it's a huge expense to businesses.

TheNewGirl 1,347 Posted July 2, 2024 I still buy a book of stamps every so often; birthday cards, thank you's things like that. I only have one actual bill that I mail in every 3 months...but that's just NUTS. A lot of businesses try and go paperless now, makes a lot of sense.

It's become a pretty big chunk of change to mail out statements now. I won't even mail people statements if their balance is only a couple dollars. Not worth it. edjr 6,578 Posted July 2, 2024 My Grandmother in law, lives directly next door. She snail mailed me a birthday card on June 20, postmarked June 20. I got it yesterday Why did she mail it I asked her? Her answer "I felt weird putting in your mailbox" Focking old people! She spent, what is it now? 51 cents to send a $100 check

easilyscan 863 Posted July 3, 2024 If it was just the price of stamps, no big deal, I only use about 30 a year. The fact that we have to bail out the USPS bloated pension every couple of years, is what really grinds my gears. Same for Amtrak. Fock them both gently with a chainsaw. https://thehill.com/opinion/congress-blog/3993213-the-imploding-us-postal-service-bailout/.

It's like 4 bucks a stamp in Denmark
