Tree of Knowledge 1,859 Posted September 7, 2024 Decentralization and moving responsibilities back to the states, where they belong, would make vast improvements in Washington bureaucracy. However, it would take decades to accomplish and entrenched Washington will fight tooth and nail for their fiefdoms.

Trump actually leads Harris among government employees, probably because they realize how oversized the federal government is and how much waste there is. But just the fact there are enough government employees to flip election illustrates there are too many federal employees and the fact they can impact elections to ensure their jobs and guarantee pay increases shows something is wrong.

You can choose to pay to go ad free or be able to post more werdz in a single post. You can also pay to get a blue . But you don't have to. That's not nitpicking words. It would force them to be more efficient and it would cut down on a tremendous amount of waste. The savings we would gain by not overpaying 10's of thousands of useless, redundant, bureaucrats would offset the unemployment costs.

The Real timschochet 6,769 Posted September 7, 2024 I see parallels between Musk and Henry Ford. Ford was brilliant, one of the most important people in American and world history. He literally changed human civilization and industry to our great benefit. But he was also an anti-Semite, a racist, an admirer of fascism, and insane. And despite all of his innovations he didn’t turn out to be such a great businessman. His refusal for a decade to upgrade the Model-T hurt his company badly and ignored the very marketplace that he created: and his obstinacy regarding unions ignored the growing middle class that he was largely responsible for. There are many similarities to Musk here.
