Western Europe is pretty broad. The Italians gave us the mafia for starters. It got so bad they had a mass lynching of Sicilians in my hometown.

The Haitians established the 2nd democracy in the world. They’re largely Catholic & maybe exclusively so. They’ve been a huge contributor to the Florida economy.

Just so you know, what happened to Haiti is the same thing that happened to Germany. After Haiti like the US won independence in a revolutionary war they were crushed with massive reparations by France. Of course Germany, after reparations forced upon it by France, imploded, started another world war, was decimated then we spent billions to rebuild them. Haiti was never given that, they’ve never had a Marshall Plan. But the difference between Germans & Haitians is paper thin except the Haitians of course didn’t commit genocide, cause the Cold War, create trillions in damaged & tens of millions of casualties.
