Now normally there would be a crash after the sharks get out. But when you have constant pressure, to the point where even the motels are fetching big bucks in some places, there was a whole new round available to rinse and repeat. 

When you pile 12 people into a place even if a few lose their jobs, rent probably still going to get paid. Especially when so many of their other expenses are getting covered. 

Homeless NGOs play a part in this crap too believe it or not. It is just an endless supply of funny money right now. 

All of it because of our lovely government.

Absolutely.  THE #1 threat in my opinion, and it’s not even close.  They’ve evolved like this over the years:

1. Slight bias, but reported facts

2. Heavy bias, reported facts, but only those facts that benefited the Liberal side.

3. Extreme bias, one-way fact checks against Conservatives that were largely truthful

Lol, eff off.  I don't call people bootlickers as an insult, I call them that because that is what they are.  Probably more accurate to call the useful idiots because they really are clueless to what reality is.   The corruption of our government has been going on for many decades.  Killing of foreign leaders, puppet governments like the Shah of Iran, the endless wars over false pretense, mind control experiments on US citizens, recruitment of actual NAZIs for science and propaganda techniques, mass infiltration of mainstream media. 

That is just the stuff we know for certain.  The stuff like the assassinations of our leaders like JFK, RFK and MLK is the unspeakable truth that most Americans believe but our government will never admit.  The power within our government has only gotten stronger and even less oversight power to keep it in check. 

If you want to live in la-la land and pretend our government has finally gotten honest, that is good for your health.  But that is not reality.  The reality is it is far worse than ever and they have the legal tools and the technology to control every aspect of our lives.  Much of the top leadership of our government is rogue and not working for the Consitution or the people.  If we don't stick a stake into this beast soon, it will be too late and the last remnants of this great experiment we call America will just be an illusion.

I don’t think Trump won the last election.  I do however think that all the shenanigans changing the rules substantially altered things.  I warned about it too - when the rules were being changed months before the election.  I basically predicted exactly what would happen.

I do own a home.  I was saying I previously owned one in a neighborhood where several homes were purchased by “Wall Street.”  The HOA tried to pass a bylaw that would not allow homes to be rented out for the first year that they were owned (maybe 2, can’t remember) in order to prevent it from happening more (although @shorepatrol thought the Wall Street companies wouldn’t care about that, what an idiot that guy is).  The majority of the homes being bought and rented out by Wall Street companies are NOT being rented out to illegal immigrants, that’s laughable.

Thank you for bringing up crossover.  I’ve acknowledged that illegal immigrants could have some impact on prices in certain areas that got a ton of illegal immigrants.  But my main point was that prices went up at similar rates pretty much everywhere (other than in places that were dying, like Springfield before the Haitians arrived) and yet illegal immigrants really only increased significantly in certain areas of the country.   There is very little crossover in real estate prices when comparing completely different metro areas, so if you want to blame illegal immigration for increased housing costs, it can only be blamed in areas that actually got a lot of illegal immigrants, yet obviously there are tons of areas that saw huge price increases despite an insignificant number of additional illegal immigrants.

And again, the steep rise in prices really started in 2020.  Which happened to be when illegal immigration went way down due to Covid (and of course was before Biden and Harris “opened the borders”).   So yet another data point for illegal immigration not being the main driver for recent home price increases.
