She and Biden were handed a huge mess to clean up. They did as good a job as they could with that. Now you want to fire them and reinsert the guy who made the mess in the first place, a guy whose only promise is to make an even bigger mess this time around. Just finished watching it. Some of you guys are completely unhinged- it wasn’t nearly as bad as some are making out.

Brett did a good job of trying to pin her down, although I didn’t appreciate how he repeatedly cut her off in the beginning. She dodged some questions, for sure, but she definitely didn’t come off as incompetent, FFS. I do wish she would have been able to say she owes those mothers an apology, but she’s in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. That kinda applies to most of those questions. As VP she shouldn’t really be throwing her boss under the bus, so what good answer can she give? Not that any answer would be good enough for Trump fans.

I think her biggest flub was misunderstanding the clip that Brett showed w/Trump. Which by the way, he kinda dodged a real answer there as well. 

At the end, Brett was nodding along-I wouldn’t be surprised if he secretly votes for her.   J/K

This was a normal political interview. She answered some questions well, others not as well. Not sure how useful it is but it was good to watch.

As I said in the other thread- I thought both her and Baier came off well in the interview as they pushed enough from either side for the interview to be challenging but also for her to hit some key points she needed to hit.

I'm with you too on the Biden question. She isn't going to throw him under the bus. And really what good would it do her to say "Yeah I noticed he was senile in June of 2023." It is just going to lead to more questions and it will piss off voters in the Democrat party which she doesn't want to do.

Someone finally hit her with tough questions she didn’t get beforehand or have an answer sheet ready & it showed BIG time There’s already tons of ppl saying they’re done & not voting for her after this

I thought she did better than I would have expected.  I think her moves to deny the interviewer a follow up question was a good tactic.  She was clearly ready for battle but at the same time tempered her anger rather well.

It wasn't perfect.  He asked the right questions and she deflected properly perhaps half the time.  Sometimes she deflected poorly. I can see why those on the right might view it as a big loss for her, but I am not so sure it was.

Bottom line, aside from the COVID situation her and Biden were handed a really great situation which they proceeded to ruin.  They ruined economic progress for the least among us, the ruined the border, they ruined our foreign policy and generally just made a complete focking mess.    Defending against that is not easy.

Harris and Biden got handed an economy that was doing fine but had warning signs in 2018 and 2019 of perhaps turning the other way. COVID hit in 2020 and exacerbated those issues to a degree no one could have planned. Some of that was due to Trump policies that were taking full effect, some of that was due to stimulus money being dumped into the economy by both Trump and Biden, some of it was artificially propping up the market, some of that was supply chain stress because of the situation. 

The border has issues- some of them have been fixed, some have not.

Eventually ones misdeeds come back to them.  In this instance Joe Biden did not select the best candidate, not unlike Harris herself when she selected her running mate. 

Instead of focusing on the quality of the person, they focus on the irrelevant.  And in the end they hurt themselves.  Now they have to live with the person who checked boxes, but really did not have the qualities the position requires.  Time and again, Liberals do things for show instead of substance.  It's ultimately a self-defeating strategy.
