We're halfway through the season.

What do we have, maybe 8 legitimate super bowl contenders?

I remember looking at organizations like the Browns and the Lions and thinking what a mess, I’m glad the Giants aren’t like that.

The Eagles win despite that moron Sirriani.  He will be their downfall.

8?  That's 5 more than what I have.

Cmh really thinks one, but he wants to cover his ass if the Chiefs don’t win it all…

I don't think he's far off, lol.  Outside of KC, Buffalo, and Detroit, I don't think anyone else is a serious "contender".

I think one team is better than the rest, but I see about 8 teams who could go on a run.   Someone has to win playoff games in the nfc, too and there's no guarantee Detroit makes it through unscathed.

Packers were 3-6 this time last year and went on a run.  They are 6-3 this year.  Im fine with it.  But the sloppy play continues.  They are amongst league worst in penalties, drops, FG%.  I have to say Love has been pretty sporadic.  Injuries havent helped him.  Hopefully he can get back to full health over the bye week.

Detroit in Detroit will be tough for any team. But other than them I feel the NFC is wide open.

I'm going to need to see the MRI showing he sprained his brain----he's made some real dipsh!t INT's.   :wall:

of the 8 teams I've referred to, maybe power rankings along the lines of:

1. Chiefs

2. Lions

3. Bills

4. Vikings

5. Commanders

6. Ravens

7. Eagles

8. Steelers

then you got teams like the Chargers, Packers, Texans, kind of lingering in the shadows.  I also think someone from the NFC West will go on a run and start to seperate themselves.  I don't think you can rule any of these teams out from being a Super Bowl contender at this point.  Vikings feel high on my list, and the Ravens feel low.  Commanders also feel high (don't trust rookie QBs), and the Eagles feel low.

:dunno:

Denis Allen just got fired today from the Saints. Finally. I barely follow the game anymore due to the turd Goddell. It’s why I quit playing fantasy football and watch the games on Sunday and Monday. I’d rather watch the paint dry.

I would have given Tampa some props, but they are currently decimated by injury.  They just need to get some guys healthy.

You were more optimistic than me on the Bucs.  I was only joking with my post.  😁  Even before the injuries, I had them pegged for 7 to 9 wins.  When they gave Mayfield his money, they were playing Russian Roulette.  Part of it paid off with the OLine, the other, not so much.  They traded Carlton Davis to the Lions for a 3rd Rd pick, they didn't bring in any free agents to help the pass rush, and they were hoping that the current roster (defense), would get better even though many of these guys have shown they aren't.

Lot closer than I expected.   Should've gone for 2.  Made no sense to kick the XP.

Completely agree.   Would have had a much better chance of winning IMO

Sources: The #Browns are trading standout edge Za'Darius Smith to the #Lions, who add a key presence on the edge to help make up for the loss of Aidan Hutchinson.

It’s Smith and a 2026 7th going to Detroit for a 2025 5th and a 2026 6th. A major move. pic.twitter.com/gtCs86rL97

Yup.  What moron puts in faith's hands to not give Mahomes the ball?  Todd Bowles apparently.

Every time they show him on the sideline he’s just got a blank look on his face

That doesn't bother me.  I actually think he's a pretty decent coach... not great, but pretty decent.  He certainly has his share of "wtf were you thinking" moments... like kick the XP last night.

Gave up almost nothing for him, and have an option on next year.  If thy don't bring him back, zero cap hit.

Awesome trade

Awesome trade

And the Lions are on the hook for less that $1 Mil of his salary.  Browns already paid him $11 Mill.
