There is no law saying you need to investigate the status of independant contractors. Absolutley true. I have never argued otherwise. I might argue that there should be, but I do not maintain that there is. I do smile when you pretend that they might be legal for all you know.

WhiteWonder 2,723 Posted November 11, 2024 1 hour ago, Sean Mooney said: On this though- the entire farming and agriculture industry is built on undocumented immigrant labor. Undocumented farm workers make up approximately 50% of the farm labor workforce. And people in the dairy industry estimate that the price of milk would double without their undocumented workers. According to CMS estimates, there are approximately 283,000 undocumented immigrants who work in the United States as agricultural workers. These individuals make up approximately 4 percent of the total undocumented workforce in United States.- that means there are almost 7 million undocumented workers in the US (and some estimates have it as high as 11 million). Take those people out and now you have 11 million jobs needing to be filled with people asking for more money. And when those jobs aren't filled- they will be cut leading to supply issues. Count me as someone who doesn’t think we should be allowing people in the country illegally just because they provide cheap labor (are being taken advantage of) and someone willing to pay a bit more as a result. that’s just me because I’m an American. I could see laws against medically transing kids, which I (and most rational people) would view as a good thing, but some like @squistionmight view that as a negative. - End of naturalized citizenship for Dreamers -- Highly unlikely as it is specifically enumerated in the Constitution. I might remove this one. - Environment and climate change efforts -- Trump has vowed to "drill baby drill" which, along with a general disinterest in pursuing green initiatives, makes it likely that we'll invest less in this area. - Abortion -- Long shot that Congress would propose a ban, Trump would sign it, and SCOTUS would approve it - SCOTUS -- Trump could potentially set 2 or 3 more conservative justices on the bench, securing a conservative court for decades to come. - Removal of licenses from media companies -- I don't know much about this, but OK I'll have a lot to say over the next 4 years, and much of it will be calling out the inevitable hypocrisy that Trump and his voters will ultimately show. Let's get an early start, shall we? I'll focus on Elon for now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a huge part of turnip's plan to get rid of government employees justified by saying there are too many unelected bureaucrats making policy decisions? So, now he wants to hire an unelected man (who also happens to be the richest human on earth, who arguably is the single person most responsible for getting turnip re-elected, who has conflicts of interest everywhere, a wannabe oligarch with billions of dollars worth of government contracts on the line) to slash and burn government programs and payroll. Decisions that will affect potentially hundreds of thousands of people. Suddenly this is completely fine with Republicans.

You're a moron, and a liar, and a POS. Nowhere here or anywhere have I claimed to be a conservative. At one point I think I called myself a liberaltarian, because I believe strongly in personal freedom and control over one's own body. I strongly support 1A and 2A. I agree with conservatives about some things, like how much the democratic party sucks, among others. I don't hate republicans or conservatives, but I do hate the "man" you've elected to be president, and what he's done to this country and the GOP.
